Glad I stumbled upon this video. Love the enthusiasm! Makes me more interested in Zach Edey. Great analysis. Looking forward to watching the rest of your videos.
I love Edey! I was a fan when he was at Purdue and enjoyed watching him grow and develop into a pro.
Very exciting debut for our new guy!
Remember a few months ago, when "basketball analysts" projected him to be in the mid or late 2nd round, saying his gameplay does not work in the modern nba? Now everyones saying he's a good fit with the Grizzlies
Yeah the Bigs look Good so far. Kel el Ware for Miami is balling also.
Bronny “I’m better”
Ja “Not”
Edey should be playing for canadas olympic team right now instead of summer league.
As purdue student, love edey's loyality and hard work to purdue
Stay on the other side 😂
"its just summer league".....well Walker Kessler played 33 minutes in this game. He had 10 pts 6 rebs. He has 62 total starts in the NBA. Edey will struggle with foul trouble for his rookie. I can see a "potential" Dikembe Mutombo and Allen Iverson pairing in a couple of years.
What makes you think he will be in foul trouble when he barely fouled in college
@@rico760 he'll be focusing more on setting screens and defense with the Grizzles. New teammates, new system, new coach, and NBA give fouls to Stars so it's expected. I'm more excited for year two than his rookie season. Also in this game he had 6 fouls
@@Name_Of_Black I don't expect Edey to have that much trouble with fouling. This was a summer league game in which a ton of fouls were called. Also Edey played 34 minutes, which is more than I'd expect him to average this upcoming season. He's more aggressive than he was in college, so he'll probably have some games where he gets in foul trouble, but I don't think it'll be too many.
@@heavylobster4339 I'm not saying he'll be foul out every game. He averaged 2 foul a game at Purdue and he was very aggressive too. I am expecting him to be even more aggressive in the NBA. Average 3 fouls and 3 blocks a game. Those are my expectations for his rookie season. The scoring and the rebounds will be available for him because of his size. Edey won't be an MVP in his career but get can easily be Ruby Gobert. Rookie year numbers (depends on minutes)
11 pts 11 rebs 3 fouls 3 blocks. That's low expectations for Edey too.
Then expect a big jump in year two.
mem needs big size , real guy likd edye, instead of "looks smart" kids
