It's weird I infer Criterion wanted to make 2012 special but cut a lot short due to time restraints. The game files had safe houses, garages to tune your ride and even a storyline. I suggest you look up MW 2012 conspiracy

***** great point but EA was the one dictating the decisions. We all know Criterion was rushed but, like I said, they dreamed big and worked their butts off to meet the absurd deadline trying to make the best game they could.
They did not give up hope and were determined to make a stable non flawed game (unlike Rivals with its app that in my experience never worked).

in the US the M3 GTR would be street legal if you have street legal tires (basically, no slicks)
you also would need to not have NOS, but I doubt the real thing would use NOS
Catsinelixe Holloway doesnt need Nitro the m3 Gtr is GODLY fast in real life if this was real life they wouldve lost by 100 miles to a m3 Gtr its literally 30-60 seconds a lap faster than any Hypercar from 2005 on the nurburgring 6.47sec the closest these days is the Huracan performante and the porsche 918 and to add to this all the m3 gtr is a good 16 years old

Get the Cobalt SS. Amazing "beginner's" car, i used it every time. Well, i tested them all, but the Cobalt felt the best.

Robben P. i beat ming with my cobalt then i got his pinkslip and switched to the gallardo
And out of those cars you can choose at the start, the Cobalt is actually the best for pursuits, it plows through hordes of Police with ease. Though it might not be my favorite out of them, but it surelly is the one I'm going to start the game again and again, just because of it's capability in pursuit situations.
Fun fact I did the whole game about 3 times using only the cobalt. Fully upgraded you can beat Razor easily.

I have met so many people who say that this game was too hard for them to beat. Funnily enough, this was the first racing game I beat. Before this I had only played the '90s NFS titles (because I have OCD of playing any series from the beginning) Before this I had only played NFS 2 and the old Hot pursuit and that too, only a few races. Then, I came across this game. I fired it up and could not stop playing it and it was the first racer I played all the way through and beat. I have never found another racing game that came even close to it. Even after I finished it, I would just rile up pursuits for the fun of ithem. UG2 was amazing but NFS MW will always be my favourite because of The pursuit, the cops, Cross and donuts.
This game still looks great on Xbox 360 for it's age.

This... this is my childhood right here. “Had” it on the good old ps2 from back in the day. For about 6 years I never got it back. Until one day when I was sixteen with a pocket full of birthday money I spotted a familiar game on the shelf on the used section at GameStop. And there she was, a Xbox 360 edition of Need for Speed: Most Wanted. The BMW M3 GTR was just smiling at me.
Cost a whopping $45 for a game released in 2005. It was worth every penny.
This game along the underground series and Carbon. I loved at the end how you instantly pick up from Most Wanted to Carbon
If this game doesn't get a remaster before 2020 I will cry

I actually played this game with mods. Gives the game a whole new experience. Plus the PC version lets you just turn off the dumb filter too.

So glad you came back to this after your old series. I was hoping for a very long time for you to do this
One trick not many people know is that you can use real life drifting methods in this game. I once found instructions on how to drift Rwd car and it mentioned going as fast as possible then shift down to the 2nd gear, slam the e-brake and quickly turn. So I turned on the game and tried it out (Gamecube). I used the Mitsubishi Eclipse and followed every direction and it WORKED like magic. I was surprised to see that actual drift techniques could be used in a game.. an 05 game at that! This game is legendary.

This is exactly how I felt about Carbon. I was 7 when playing it a long time ago, didnt know much about its story but enjoyed the game. I then remembered it again this year and realized what it was really about

I actually kept trying all the time to win the race before my car broke down I kept reseting my ps2 and raging that my car kept breaking down about a week later is when I discovered that you were supposed to lose the race I was 9 and had no access to forums
Watching this game makes me remember just how fun it was. This, Carbon and Undercover, even though they were all similar, they defined my childhood. Those cop chases... Ghost better come up with something like that for the next game.
Oh man this takes me back. First time I heard about this game, there was a news story about a car accident and apparently one of the cars was speeding and they had a new copy of NFS: Most Wanted in the car or something cause it was mentioned in the story. I was obsessed with Underground 2 at the time so of course my 1st thought was "NEW NEED FOR SPEED??". Great times.

Mia tells you to wait for razor to shift first because razor was already over-revving his car before launching, when a car shifts into the next gear, it loses some of its speed during shifting, thus, when razor finally launched, he shifted gear immediately resulting in him losing his split-second lead. (Which means, yes, he would have been in the lead for a longer period, had he launched normally without overrevving his car)

MW05's map is based on a mix of a bunch of locations and cities. The location names are based off of cities on the coast of Maine, including Rockport, Rockland, and Camden. As for the city, it is based on these three, as well as Boston and other major US East cities.

I first played this game on PS2 around 2006 when I was 8 and only completed it on the Xbox 360 in 2015, when I was 17! Took me years to beat the Blacklist but those 9 years were worth it.

I got it off the gamestop website as a digital download. It downloads as a PS2 game and that's how I was able to replay the best Need for Speed game

The one of the best games from ea was Need For Speed Porsche Because they made the car movements soo realistic and kinda educates you as you buuy new parts. My all time fav is prob Need for Speed carbon because of the graphics and story was bigger

Yes they literally are pink slips, they transfer owner ship of your car to another person you have to do a big gumble wumble with insurance and signatures and car stuff but in video games it's like magic
People keep on forgetting to add the two most important pieces; ProStreet and Undercover literally unveiled so much about the character from all the previous games if you pay attention to the cop chatter in Undercover alongside the info they let out about Ryan Cooper "the character from all the previous games". Theres an entire documentary on the whole thing.
