What’s pump did you use
I put a edlebrock 4-7 psi electric pump on put wasn’t getting any fuel…. May have to fill entire tank. Does the in tank pump need to be wired also?

Did you have to cut off the restrictor on the fuel sender? The one on the 5/16 return. I heard it causes high fuel pressure if not cut off.

So I have a few questions. On my 78 350SBC ElKy it was obviously carbed. I just ordered the fuel pump unit for an 86 ElKy, Corvette filter/regulator, AN fitting and hose kit but my question now is what do I do about the fuel tank? Do I get the 85-87 4.3 tank or will the stock tank work just fine? I know that the 85-87 have the baffle but I have no clue about the 78 and would rather not have to spend more money when I know my tank isn't rusted and is in good shape.
What did you end up doing? I have an 87 that I’m ls swapping rn but it had the 305 so I don’t think it had the proper tank for efi.
@@treyhankee1858 I just ended up getting the fuel tank for an 85-87 V6 ElKy since the V6 is fuel injected.

F.Y.I you also use a fuel sender from 87 el camino with a 4.3 engine they came in tank fuel pump .are you doing to u the truck intake on engine and will the hood close

I know this is an older video but where did you get that return style fuel sending unit??? I can only find returnless or efi and I already set mine up for a inline fuel pump with return style and I can't seem to find a fuel sending unit that is return style that isn't efi. If you could help me out I would greatly appreciate it!! I have tried looking for different years but still no luck

Dr. Ru i need your advice. I also just bought an El Camino. I got an 84. I was told by a mechanic that you have to buy a new fuel tank to go from carburated to fuel injected. It does not seem like that's what you did. Holla at me in this please

I viewed your video again & notice no fuel pump attached to the fuel tank sending unit so the unit is still meant for carburetors engine so I'll rephrase my earlier question to 2 questions. Question 1: What fuel tank sending unit did you use? I noticed that it has 3 inlet/outlet tubes while the old one had only 2. Question 2: What external fuel pump did you use?
