    Man, I wasn't considering this till I saw the installation process. I assumed we had to dismantle it! I might now consider it even though the price is high, so I can take it on the go.

    Had been looking at this and wondering if anyone would “Eurorack” this. Glad to see you have taken up the challenge. BTW will there be a black face version? and how much would it be to ship to the UK?

    Awesome. I want one. I think Korg missed a trick not making the NTS-2 a Euro-rackable device.

  •  10 месяцев назад +2

    It looks awesome and kudos to you for giving everyone the opportunity to turn the nts2 into a eurorack module !
    Only downside (as for the EU) price is practically the same as the unit ?!

    The faceplate is almost the same price as the Oscilloscope....?

    • @matnetik
      @matnetik 7 месяцев назад

      Our pricing goal was to be below the price of an oscilloscope module but cover the cost of materials, labor, shipping, taxes and selling fee's. These are extremely time consuming to build. But it's an option for someone who might already own an NTS-2 and later wants to rack it up. Thanks for watching and hope that makes sense, cheers

    Hello, Can we control the frequency of the oscillators with a MIDI keyboard, or with CV?

    • @matnetik
      @matnetik Год назад +2

      Unfortunately the NTS-2 doesn’t offer that control :( it’s only an output of the tone

    why would anyone want to put this in a rack space, when it's battery powered?...and for almost 2x the price of the unit.

      We provide a plug that goes from USB-C to 16 pin. The kit is $129 - NTS-2 cost $199. Thanks for the comment, cheers!

    • @matnetik
      @matnetik 10 месяцев назад +3

      Faceplate is $129 - NTS-2 is $199. We hand build these and they aren't mass produced, super time consuming considering all the manual soldering plus the parts, components and shipping. Thanks for the support though, cheers

    • @WildZero
      @WildZero 10 месяцев назад +1

      @@matnetikthat makes sense. i mean get what you can get for it. but i bought mine used for $150 and really all you made was a passive mult (which is like what, $35?) and a neat usb to pin cable. i hope these do well for you, just bummed.

    • @leftovernoise
      @leftovernoise 10 месяцев назад +1

      @@WildZero if it's so simple to make, why don't you just make one yourself? Should only cost you 35 bucks right?
      See this all the time, people look at the total cost of components on a product. You fail to factor in the time it took to design a product, test a product, get the product produced, and in This case, making them by hand. For this, it likely also includes time to screen print the type on the face, and make it look professional and soldering it together.
      So i ask you, is your personal labor time worth nothing? Do you work for free? I assume not. Why do you expect someone else to work for free, or for next to nothing?
      The original price for the nts-2, is relatively cheap because it's mass produced overseas. That price doesn't change the amount of time and effort that went into making this conversion kit. Even if the nts-2 was 50 bucks, that wouldn't change the amount of time that went into making these kits.
      But, it's just a plate and some mults right? If you're not willing to pay for someone else's labor, build it yourself.

    • @WildZero
      @WildZero 10 месяцев назад +2

      @@leftovernoise i did build my own. it cost me $17. it took me 30 minutes of actual hands-on time, so at my labor rate of $90 an hour, it cost me $62. i will say i didn't paint it though.

    • @leftovernoise
      @leftovernoise 9 месяцев назад

      @@WildZero so would you personally be willing to make and sell these for $62? Do you feel like that would even be worth your time? Do they look as nice as these? I'm gonna guess the answer to all of those is no.
      Let's also put in the amount of time you spent planning it, ordering or going to purchase parts. Going to guess that means the total amount of time is more than 30min. Which at your listed labor rate, would increase the price needed to produce a single one.
      If you take all this into account and still the 150 is unreasonable, the. Idk what to tell you. You'd either make an awful business owner, or again, don't value your time enough if you'd be willing to produce these for 60 bucks
