@jannet4451 that is great news for Paul's moon. Agreed though: very tactile and gorgeous imagery. This beast deck is wonderful too, I'm glad I backed it, these pair like peas & carrots 🌟
Ben, i hope you love it. It has enough quirkiness for us Gemini ♊️. Thank you for watching & commenting 😊 I look forward to seeing yours when it arrives.
You know, my sense of humor could not get past the fact that you would not say the word on #15 😂😂😂 But seriously, I think I'm going to back this one myself like right now. I don't know if my budget will let me get both. But I really do love them both. But then who knows that the production would be different if it went mass market? So I might have to get both.I can't get just one without the other. Decisions decisions ❤❤❤❤
😆😆😆 I'm not sure if the YT bots ban certain words lol, so I was as demure as I could muster. The decks are available on libra moons website I believe for pre-order. They won't be mass market though, so independently published and priced. Most certainly a splurge 💛🌞
Thank you for letting me know about this on Simon's chat. It's interesting to have familiar creatures like dog, cat, bat, cow, ladybug, etc. combined in a deck with things like the Hydra, Kraken, and Leviathan. I'll be weighing this one further! It is beautiful! Loved the side-by-side comparisons, too. BTW, I love the close-up view. Would you mind sharing what camera you use? Zooming-in while filming is a nice feature.
@@inkandflame it's the only way I know how lol. Fingers crossed Simon wasn't offended by me saying I had a walkthrough in his chat, I wouldn't want to get us in trouble 😬🙈
@@AntoinetteTarot I almost didn't mention it but I wanted you to know I was following up (I didn't expect you to remember my name). That said, I would think Simon is happy to see any positive chat in the community expand, esp. when it comes to favorite decks. I've been around long enough to see plenty of drama, and I don't think this warrants any. But I appreciate your conscientiousness; I'm much the same way, so I get it! ❤
Thank you Toni! Excellent video.IMO they have vastly improved their production since Serpent & Peacock, of which I had the first edtion but sold it. My two major complaints at the time were the lack of sharpness and a bluish cast over the color palette. The color and sharpness of these two new ones is excellent. And the source material is very nice. I love the boxes and the books. I still have reservations though. I don't like oversized cards. And I feel like the framing, cropping, placement could have been better attended to. The borderless cards that have no background borders work better, although some images are too close to the edge losing from cropping and others are too far away featuring unwanted pieces of graphic borders inconsistent with the composition on the page. I realize that all these images are details from larger works forced into the framework of tarot and oracle layouts, but still feel they might have been better worked out. It is very much like looking through a fine art book on medieval illustration and randomly cutting out rectangles and gluing them onto cards without proper consideration. Still, this is the best we have at this stage. (though I do have a deck in this mode I like better - Manuscript of Initiation). It has more consistency throughout the deck and less randomly curated images. I didn't get a real sense in either of these new decks that the images were thoughtfully considered when matching them with their archetypes.
Hi Robin. I'm glad you like the packaging presentation on this set. I've enjoyed seeing the various sets of decks made with a coherent packaging. Beauty is always in the eye of the beholder when it comes to curating our libraries. This one clearly brings out your virgo critic 😆 The Mood of the Moon oracle with beasts included on the cards is probably more inkeeping for you, it has borders, another beautifully finished deck from libra moon Inc. IMO. Manuscript of initiations is apoealing, but for me, too much blank space and tiny images. Carol Anne's decks are a very close second to my love of all things Patrick Valenza. Thank you for sharing your views. 🍄🌻
I have manuscript of initiations deck. It's very medieval, I like it. But too much blank space, tiny pictures and the poorest card stock I own, it's like a cereal packet. Which proves we all have different tastes.
@@paulandneil1 I have I think the 3rd edition and wonder if the cardstock changed because mine has the most amazingly beautiful flower patterned back and the cardstock is typical of MPC or U.S. Games.
I too have the 3rd edition Manuscript of Initiation and I cannot work with it at all. I would agree on the dismal card stock and that is not something I am particularly bothered by in many decks that others complain about. It is rather thin and does not appear to have much of a core to speak or. But the images just don't resonate for me. (I may just go dig it out and give it another whirl xD) I have the art edition (borderless) of the Serpent and Peacock and I adore it! Unfortunately I couldn't afford to back Pauls Moon *sad-face* but I simply could not pass by the Medieval Beasties, I have a soft spot for them. The square Mood of the Moon with it's keywords on each side is a lot of fun to work with too. One day I will add Pauls Moon but with shipping it adds on too much to an already hefty outlay. I love Carol Anne's decks too and the quirkiness of the medieval artworks give me so much joy. Thanks for this peek at the deck! *edit: I agree, the backs on the MoI are lovely!
Yes, postage & tax makes it a very considered purchase. I think that's why when I'm doing it, I grab a cloth or a bag to try and feel like I'm benefitting in some way 🙈
I ordered mine too and very much looking forward to receiving it so thanks for the review. Got my Paul's Moon last week and I am totally in love ❤

Thanks so much for doing this Toni, great video! I backed it lol 😂 the production value looks amazing I must say.

Damn it, as I watch on this deck does look perfect with the Tarot of Paul's Moon...Antoinette strikes again....LOL 🤣🤣🤣
