Idk call me cheap but anything over $50 then I’m like nope! I can always make it myself. My sister bought a very beautiful cake from a baker for very expensive and she also made her own from a box cake mix with added hacks and EVERYONE loved the boxed cake with the hacks. The beautiful one was so dry and plain tasting but hers was moist and delicious. I’m no cake expert but I just can’t spend that kind of money on cake 🤷🏻♀️

I started caking after I got my associates from culinary school in patisserie and baking in 2009, your prices are really good! However the last one, I so think you could/should have asked more for. They were beautiful but didn’t really do what I gave them. I first drew the cake then gave it to them but they missed ALOT of things but stll turned out so cuute. If you were in the Bay Area, you could easily charge double or triple. My favorite bakery charges $75 for a small (8”-ish?) princess cake, no customization or Black Forest, also no customization. Your prices are absolutely reasonable!!! This was fun I’d love to see it again

It is fun! For our book club, someone wanted to buy the organizer a cake for his birthday that had the spines and the titles of the books we had read painted on the fondant. For 2 or 3 small layers, it was supposed to be $300. In the end, because she never goes to club or reads, she just tries to impress him because she wants to date him, half of the titles were missing and we only got 2 layers. One whole layer, blank fondant (ie, less work). It was $10 per slice of cake for each person. And in the end, it wasn't what we were shown. So I think your prices are more than reasonable
Wow that’s really affordable! I’ve only ever gotten a cake for my wedding which was done by a high school friend who actually graduated from Johnson and Wales university with a pastry degree. I didn’t ask for any discounts for knowing her but she charged me $300 for 2 dozen cupcakes with just a simple buttercream swirl, for the cake I can’t remember the exact size but it was smaller than the last one showed or maybe about the same. The style was a “naked” caked and it was lemon cake with raspberry filling. She used real flowers on it. I wish I could share a picture here. I provided my own cake topper. I loved my cake and it was delicious and I don’t regret paying the $300 for it

Like for me, personally, I’d be fine with like a Walmart or a homemade cake (I am a baker, but have no skills in cake decorating. Honestly I was even expecting more because i saw a Canadian baker tiktoker who said they would charge over 2000 dollars for a wedding cake that imo wasn't the most difficult or detailed, with half the tiers being styrofoam. I found that price point to be incredibly unaffordable to most people, and it made me wonder if ingredients and cake supplies are exponentially pricier in Canada. But all your cakes are really affordably priced for custom cakes with detailed fondant designs and toppers and custom flavors and fillings.

Those prices are SUPER acceptable! if anything, you aren’t giving yourself enough credit & compensation. My mother paid $400 for an Alice in wonderland themed cake for my birthday last year. It was beautiful but only one teir, fully fondant & didn’t even taste all that yummy ! Your cakes are perfection & prices are beyond reasonable, don’t let anyone tell you other wise ! I am from Brooklyn NY & cakes like these are NOT cheap.
