Actually the drastic change about our culture today vs noon is because of the internet. Kase dati, walang nakakakita ng culture ng other countries na very liberated. But nowadays, you can see the whole world through the internet kaya karamihan e gumagaya na sa culture ng other countries. Especially sa pananamit, relationships and a lot of things pa.

As a milennial who still follows many traditional Filipino values, hearing the perspectives you ladies have is quite fascinating! From my experience, it is quite common nowadays for women to make the first move. Additionally, I agree with the knowing of feelings before the dating/courtship phase. If one party did not experience feelings for the other party, most of the time it turns into Friendzone. But that doesn't mean one cannot get out of the Friendzone later down the line.
I like Carmina's POV. Everything is temporary. Change is constant. The generation gap is very visible in this podcast. At the end of the day, the discussions here should be more opened to the society with an open mind perspective of course.

It is not about the generation when it comes into complicated relationships, Kase may mga kabataan parin na kahit may pag asa o wala siya sa girl, liligawan niya parin. Kase kung manliligaw ka lang kase alam mong gusto ka niya, parang you're not achieving something, kaya ka nanliligaw kase you want to convince the girl na you are worthy of her yes.
So men do not want to make effort or waste time para ligawan ang babae kung wala lamg din silang maasahan .. ang babae din naman ngayun very transparent with thier feelings towards the guy they like ..

Coming from a millenial girl who is not a fan courtship, I feel like when I am getting courted today, I feel like I can't know to real personality of the guy because he has his "best foot forward" dahil nga po nanliligaw siya. And sa generation namin today, mas madaming mambobola. So I'd rather casually date and get to know the person then if we know each other enough, we can exclusively date or be a couple straight up.

Im a millennial Filipina abroad and my now foreign husband . Told me he like me out of the blue (we’re co-worker back then ) still court me traditional way , even though we don’t have the same values and culture about dating . And to sum it up really what pandemic has taught us is “NEW Normal” meaning really, is back to basic. It’s given us the time to be “locked” in with our family, to slow down and realize the value of family. This is the lesson covid is teaching us for the past 2 years and still molding us so we can re-live the ERA of the old generations and aligned it with the millennial generation of this new era.

I'm one of this generation now and I just want to thank you for this podcast because it gave me knowledge of what happened then and understands my parent. Thank you also for understanding our generation because like me having a parent like your generation is not getting along because of these misunderstandings. Thank you again and I hope we can get more of these to lessen the misunderstanding between both generations. :)

I'm Gen X and had experienced an open relationship. I also have a friend that had a trople relationship although they are 4, 5 years younger (Millennials). Kaya lang di yata nagtagal young pagiging trople. Very tricky yang ganyang relationships especially if the bond and trust with the partners are not solid.
