My wife is a head chef in Toronto. She's from a family of Thai chefs, specialized in southern Thai cuisine but knowledgeable of the cuisine from north to south from east to west. I was delighted to see this post and sent it to her (in the next room) for her enjoyment. Everything you mentioned, I have had the joy of tasting. Where this theme could expand is with those secret corners and single chefs who do something spectacular with the popular dishes. Like the way grandma cooks. The omelette is one of my favourites. As you say, it goes with everything as a side dish. In fact the omelette and fresh steamed rice is my life saver in Thailand. Then there is this pad Thai on the walking street in old Chiang Mai. OMG. This is heaven. Thanks for a great overview. Aoy just got home with some pad krapow gai from her workplace. Am I blessed? dcb
Me and my wife use to have a Thai restaurant ( Mai Thai ) in Austin. Gone now we lost our lease. She is Isan and a master at most of these dishes. She feeds me the best Thai foods everyday. You have some great picks Paddy. I think We won best restaurant like four years in a row. Everyone loved her foods. My included. Great Video Paddy. Hope you get back into gear soon. Starting to miss those video.
I wish you both can find the new location for your restaurant. Your wife’s talents and your lifetime effort must not be wasted. You can make so many people happy and forget every stress when they come to your restaurant and have the best time of the month or even life!!
@@jomontanee Event thought we loved the restaurant it was devastating when we could not renew our lease. We have no desire to do it again unless we own the property. We have moved on. She is now doing Thai massage and I have fun with my RUclips channels making videos. Just wish I made money from doing it. Thanks a lot
I've eaten there many times (I live in Austin). I'm sorry to hear about the restaurant closing and wish you all the best with her Thai massage and your RUclips channel.
What I love about Thai food is, that you can order the same dish but it always tastes slightly different, as each person adds their own twist to it!
Thank you for sharing just a tiny piece of Thai cuisine with us. I always enjoy watching your channel, especially the food parts.
On another subject, you may want to consider showcasing:
1. The best roads
2. Best convenience stops
3. Gas stations and what to expect - things that are same or different from other countries
4. Best national parks
5. Best river spots to visit and to bathe in
Using all the content you have created you can get so much more than what you are currently 'milking' 👍🏼
All of my favourites in there and some I am looking forward to trying next time I visit. Thanks Paddy, great video!
Planning a trip to Thailand and this is the video that I needed!
I have to say ..this might be my most favourite video 😂😂 I have been starving myself for months here so I can eat as much as I want there!! Thank you so much Paddy !!

I don't know why I haven't thought of Thailand and seafood.... It makes a lot of sense that they would have amazing seafood! 🤤
Wow! Just about the very best video about introducing Thai food! Thank you for making this video 🔥🔥
A good few that I'll be trying in there. Thanks Paddy.
I am just addicted to your videos. I wrote down the name of your favorite dishes. This video has been very helpful!
Impressed the way you've demonstated the said Thai food with the ingredients( so nice!! )..now quite sure Paddy Doyle's favourite is prawn!!..(especially the big fresh water prawns)..

Hiya Paddy, I wasn't hungry. But I am now. I remember lots of those dishes. Enjoyable video. Always good vibes. Khoa Soi. Love the crispy noodles. Great video. Have a lovely day.
My favorite (and there are so many varieties) is Gai-yang Thai bbq chicken with sticky rice and a couple sauces from a night market and I'm good to go. Then top that off with a heavenly Thai mango and sticky rice with sweet sauce thousand calories goodnight 😂😂
I really want to try the massaman curry, the pad gra pow and the tropical seafood!
Enjoyed this video very much Patty. Will have to try to find that crab place next time I am in Bangkok. Cheers!
Did you find here ? Searching 3 hours now cant find
Thanks for all the videos!
Fantastic list for people wondering what to eat when they visit Thailand. Another "Best" food topic could be desserts. I love finishing a meal with mango and sticky rice. The best sticky rice I've had was infused with pandan juice served at a seafood restaurant in Samut Prakan.
I’m glad Tom Yum got in the top three. Lovely food.
😊😮❤❤I want to try the kha soi and the crab curry
Excellent series Paddy really help full cant wait to get back !!

Pad gra pow with liver, do you remember where you had it, will be travelling soon.
Great video
I am hungry now. Got to go for Pad kraprao. 😁👍🏻
Love it Paddy ❤️ 🙂
Thanks,for Thai food ❤ Thailand.
My mouth is watering from this video, Paddy! Have you had Pad Krapow with noodles before? That is a delicious mix too. I'm now going to get Thai food for dinner after watching this! Nice work, Paddy! 👍👍😋😋
Thank You for sharing with us this amazing series and this episode. The Thai dishes you shared with us in this Vlog all look absolutely delicious and I’m going to try them all while I travel 🧳 through Thailand 🇹🇭. As always absolutely love ya work .

Awesome…heading over to Bangkok in about a month and a half, looking forward to try all of these out!

i am dribbling that food looks amazing i cannot wait to go back to Thailand next January with my sister, it is her first time. I know she will love it just as much as i do
Welcome to Thailand ❤❤
Good clip Thank you
Wow Paddy ! Ya made me Hungry 😋👍🤣🤣🇹🇭
My wife and I are going in late Sept. and we can't wait. Everything looks so amazing. May not want to come back to the States.
My favourite Thai dishes in no particular order are pad kaprow with chicken basil and rice, green papaya salad, Tom yum soup, raw prawn salad, seafood ceviches, oyster omelettes, Thai sausage rolls, betel leaves for snacks, spicy riverbed fish, boat noodles etc.
P.S. can you do a video with the Michelin starred restaurants and chefs like David Thompson for Nahm and more?
Hi Paddy we have enjoyed your videos so much! We're flying into BKK on Saturday then down to Pattaya for a week, then we are going to Rawai. Your presentation of this area made made it essential to visit this area. Just want to say thanks and hope we can meet you one day.
Thanks for this video Paddy! What was the name of that dish you often ate at the start of your journey? Something with 3 types of pork
Why I am not surprised that Pad kra praw is at the top of the list
My favorite so far is Khao Soi 🤤
yes simply is the best
I didn’t realise it was a premiere and seen the last three. Thought ‘that was a short video’ now I’ve seen the end. Not surprised at number one though 😂. Back I go to the start.
A good boat noodle does wonder! Can't believe you forgot that.
Where are the link to the crab lady restaurant near koh san road
Ur making me hungry and I just ate lol
Hellooo Paddy, watching your videos since a few months as I am travelling to Thailand this summer. I really enjoy your videos, even those of provinces I dont plan to visit. Can you please link the Google Maps of this Thai lady near Khaosan Road? You mentioned a link in your video but I cant find it :)
Keep it going and big up from GER!
I envy you; your facial expression said it all, my wife and I really enjoyed all kinds especially 'Kao Soy' in Chiang Mai, also pork legs, so many varieties to mention, btw you seemed to tolerate the spicy ones very well.
😋 yummy
You making me hungry.. can't even get good thai food where I'm at... They americanize everything and make it sweet . Dang
I love your VDO. Thanks for sharing and I will go to some places as you recommend. Actually, I eat everything in Tom Kha Gai, they are herbs which are good for digestion (my mother taught me), and many Thai people also eat them. :)
I recognise Marian Grasby's video on the Khao Soi! :)
NICE
Paddy, I would suggest you to try Larp dishes which are available in North and North eastern parts of Thailand. They can be fish, pork and beef. Also, try Nam-prig or น้ำพริก dishes which are widely common all over in the country. However, there are many kinds of Nam-prick dishes.
Pretty sure he knows about it. Everyone does.
My favorite (and there are so many varieties) is Gai-yang Thai bbq chicken with sticky rice and a couple sauces from a night market and I'm good to go. Then top that off with a heavenly Thai mango and sticky rice with sweet sauce thousand calories goodnight
det ser så lækkert og velsmagende ud
Good
Where is the description? Couldnt find it.
I went to a restaurant So Cal - pnly because the beer was 2 for1 with food. True to form it was loaded with sugar (in the curry); patrrons were excited because it was a Thai Restaurant.
Fascinating as always. And this video was also delicious. Pad Gra Pow is always my go-to dish when I am looking for quick, cheap, easy to order dishes when I am on the move in Thailand. But my favorites are Khao Soi and the Tom Kha Gai soup. Always ordered phet mak. With mango and sticky rice for dessert, and a glass of Thai ice tea. When I was in Washington, D.C. last month I ordered Khao Soi in a Thai restaurant. While you can buy it on the street in Chiang Mai for 40 baht, in this U.S. restaurant it was $15.00. So sad. I want to go back to Thailand so bad and stuff my face with 40 baht Kao Soi.
Just watching it back now. I haven’t had dinner…yet
How about 20 best Thai phrases and spelt out at the bottom of the screen. You must have many a good phrase to get you out of trouble..
The not too spicy phrase was perfect and I will use it. Could be a bumper winner video for you. No commission charged for the idea. 🤩🤩🤩🤔🤔
you can definitely eat the hard roots and herbs. just a little tough lol. very healthy and fibrous haha
Hi Paddy, Best restaurant please!!
The omelette is great. Try to cook it but not same 🤣
Don't forget to try " Mee Krob " ( crispy noodle mixed with sweet & sour sauce )
Ow yes, you are correct, the Thai misses makes a lot of thai food with ingrediënts just for the taste and for eatin 😉
Great top 10 mate 💪 Mai pla ra 🤣🤣
Cow soi, hmmmmm... had it in Chiang Mai this year, the best mate. Som Tam best one i had was Prachuap khiri kan 😋 and so much more lovely Thai food Kra paw 👊
Ow yeah here it comes, C Ya in the next one Paddy, cheers 🙌🍻
Hey Paddy, could you please share the Google Maps link with the fresh crab lady in Bangkok? Thanks
Paddy, I can’t see the link to the Gary Butler crab curry vid. Am I missing it? Tried to find on you and his channel but I’m not sure which it is. (I’ll have already seen it though lol)
You fimd the crab curry lady?
@@alexmoser9071 I never did no .
Do you have the link to the restaurant of the lady in BKK near the chanel, i dont see it the description?
how is it forn2024 when you uploaded it 2 years ago ? is thailand timeline works differently ?
Do Thais eat more rice or noodles please? I was adopted from Thailand by Swedish parents and grew up in Sweden, but the only noodles I like is the noodles in the little square packets with the seasoning and I'm not used yo spicy food either
You’re familiar to me, did you live and teach in Chiangmai for a bit?
A savory presentation! Which is what I will tell my Laptop repair guy when he asks about the teeth marks on the screen!
what happened to all the good noodle soups from chiang mai? not on your list? looks yummy though
Wow 😲❤
Can't argue with any of these, Paddy, spot on.
Very pleased Pad Thai isn't on there, very over rated and Thais don't really eat it.
Hello, where are the Google maps link!
