Nettles are fine cooked I just don't understand why someone would put raw ones in a salad. They have raw nettle eating games but that's just what it is, a game. They are healthy though. makes a nice tea with bramble leaves but I hope that place doesn't find out or they will serve it with the thorns on.
Do you think the restaurant might've given him nettles because they were so unprepared for someone ordering a side salad so they just went out back and grabbed whatever was growing in the bushes
apparently before spinach was bred people in Britain did eat nettles... but always cooked. There's a lady called Sally Pointier who makes sprang woven hairnets out of nettles, she has lovely youtube videos
