Currently nobody makes leather cases for bear banger "Tru Flare" pen launchers. Lots of hikers and hunters maybe interested in your style of design if you're upto the challenge. It would also be interesting to see a leather bear spray holder with flare and pen launcher pouches on the outside. It's an niche market but imagine the demand for pen launchers flare cases made in leather is fairly high.
I looked at the dimensions of the cartridge and if they are correct, then the cartridge belt for 12-16 gauge will fit almost perfectly!
Cartridge size: Length - 5.7 cm (2.2 inches), diameter - 1.8 cm (0.7 inches).
@@woolenpaw Bear banger kits people buy have 1 pen launcher, 2 tall flares and 3 short flares. Larger kits comes with 1 pen launcher, 6 of each tall and short flares. Leather belt cases for bear banger kits hasn't been done or sold anywhere yet but feel free to fill that gap in the market with the three variations suggested. Most other markets for leather items are oversaturated with competition but bear safety items is an underserved market for leather items. Easy to make related items are bear bells to attach on belt or backpack; food storage tree hanging kit with small throw bag and large bag to store food by rope; lastly there's a somewhat complex special case for bear spray to attach on back of backpack with drawstring to pull if on ground being attacked by a bear. There's some leather bear spray holder makers but all these other items are usually plastic or fabric; that can easily be made from leather. Also should mention a another underserved market related to hikers and hunters; being personal SOS satellite emergency beacon devices. Creating leather protective cases for the SOS devices most commonly sold isn't being done much currently. If those kind of patterns were available online I'd be one of the potentially many who would purchase those type of designs.
