The reason why Obanai is so rough is because Kanroji was getting HER HUSBAND Obanai jealous
I can understand where Sanemi is coming from. Considering their past, him hearing that his little and only living brother was goin around consuming demons after with what happened to their mother, and with how much Sanemi hates demons for it, I'm not surprised he snapped. It probably threw him for a triple loop. Tho I suspect it's more out of fear of Genya running into the same fate as their Mom, aka turning into a demon and going feral, and the risk of history repeating itself on Sanemi. Which is why he almost immediately tries to threaten him EVEN MORE into quiting. He doesn't want this life for Genya, he doesn't want him near danger, or demons, but since we all know how Sanemi struggles with proper communication when it comes to emotional stuff, he resorts to anger and aggression, with that and probably also because he thinks that if he keeps the cold shoulder act up it will hopefully discourage Genya even more, because I'm pretty sure Sanemi knows Genya just wants to be close to him, and is looking up to him, willing to put himself in danger for it, but that's, again, not something Sanemi wants for Genya.
Long story short: Sanemi needs a therapist. 😮💨🥲

Then he needed to learn how to be a better brother. Tanjiro suffered as well but you didn't see him beating up Nezuko when she tried to attack him. They learned how to fight together even though Tanjiro wanted to keep her safe. 🤷🏾♀️

this in not official just my theory, i think, Sanami hates Tanjiro because their back story is basically the same, but Tanjiro did not have to kill his own family like sanami did. Also, yes, i also believe that Sanami's reason for hating tanjiro is as simple as he just hates demons.. and tanjiro protect a demon.

Fu fact: sanemi was more angry at genya was because he ate demons the resaon is that if a normal person or demon slayer will eat demons they can't digest it and because of the demon flesh they'll die genya didn't die because he is one of the few people who can eat demon and sanemi didn't know it he was angry because he risk his life and ate demons which he wanted to protect his brother genya so thats why he lash out

The only reason he tried to blind him is to save him cause he was going to have to kill him if he becomes a demon
Unless the Demon Slayer corps succeeded in killing Muzan, blinding Genya would have killed him anyway because he would have been crippled without anyone to help him. Remember he doesn't have the same fighting skills as the other slayers. Not to mention the emotional damage it would have done on him since it was his brother who crippled him. There was no guarantee that any of the demon slayers or the organization would survive. In the event of complete annihilation of the head family Genya would have been left out on the street waiting for disease to kill him.
