There's some youtube video where Wesley Buchele describes his inventions. Either in the video or perhaps I read it somewhere it describes how he changed his mind about large vs. small farm equipment. I don't know many people who have changed their minds. That alone makes him interesting.

Over the summer I decided to start teaching myself Japanese, bought all these books and started looking up things on RUclips. Now I'm obsessed and I want to go to Japan sooo bad! The culture is so interesting and I loove your videos and comics!
It was funny hearing how loud the cicadas are in the background in the beginning, because I've been playing Animal Crossing games ever since I was little and they've always been so noisy in the game. So it's really cool to kind of see what the creators are recreating in their games... If that makes sense...
I'm so glad you guys are able to travel and do nice things. I hate when people say RUclipsrs and other web artists are sell-outs for making a comfortable or even great living. Doing what you love and touching other people's lives while being able to use your art to pay the bills makes art careers worth pursuing.

Wow it is definitely the nicest and modern-looking ryokan I've ever seen (in youtube of course, never been to Japan). I thought you must sleep on futons in ryokan, suprised to see that actually they have beds too. Food looks scrumptious!
I can relate to the seeing nice things reaction. My husband and I live pretty simple. We enjoy it. So whenever I get to go to a hotel or anything like that I'm so excited. For example we only have a shower so whenever I have access to a bathtub I take full advantage

I love ryokan. Gotta say the western style beds confused me as I thought they only did futons. Glad to see you guys are finally getting away from the paycheck lifestyle and enjoying yourselves a bit. Onsens are amazing things.

From memory Tokyo and Ibaraki prefectures being so close to the sea it would be warmer than the Tochigi prefecture being so close to mountains. Large bodies of water don't cool down much and will tend to hold alot of the warmth. City areas also suffer from heat pollution

the reason tokyo is much more hotter is due to several factors one being the concrete and the amount of heat it helps radiate not to mention the lack of trees that would certainly help reduce heat. been brought up in global warming topics, feel free to look more up about it!

ryokan food is so great i've had the luck to stay at a ryokan twice i love sleeping in a futon on tatami mats and i love the food they serve.
