Let us know what you think of our two-step sewer solution.
And Paul thinks I should call it something else. Gross!
The finishing sequence was awesome!
Thanks so much! We had fun!
This is spot on. The wife and I have been RV'ing for 30 plus years, and a macerator system is the only way to go. The only thing that tops it is the two macerator commodes that we have in our coach. Does the same job right at the "business' end. It also allows you to use regular 2 ply tissue.
Sounds like a winner! We actually flush wet wipes down our rig and have no problems. But they do sit in the tank and start breaking down first, so am not sure if they would work for you. Here's our video about that: ruclips.net/video/2Ziwfzf6xK4/видео.html
OMG. You’ve just saved me so much time and frustration. I’m new to RV life so I didn’t know what the masticating pump was OR that it’s very likely the solution I’ve been looking for. We have a sewer hookup on the side of our house that the previous owners had their RV connected to. First off I’ve never seen a hookup coming straight out the side of a building and second, it’s probably 5 inches higher than the rv waste outlet. I’m embarrassed to admit I thought of somehow creating a platform that raised our rv up. I can’t believe I just admitted that publicly but, maybe I’m not alone 😬 THANK YOU for sharing your wisdom!!!!!!!!!!!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Yay, Heather! So glad this video helped! Good for you for doing the research!! And welcome to our channel, we are happy to have you with us.
I use the macerated pump the same way. One additional thing I did was adding a 1” 90 degree cam and groove fitting to the top of the tote and the ends of the hose. Put a adapter on the pump and you are good to go. Find a industrial distributor of small plastic tanks that will drill a hole and spin weld a pipe fitting to the tote. Install a male cam adapter with a cap . No longer have to muscle a 35 gallon tote that weighs almost 300# when full. Almost every time I’m using it someone stops by to see the setup. Good video.
Paul says that's a good idea!
We went with the Rec pro macerater $129 with 3 year warranty. We use a garden hose and modified an end to connect to sewer coupler. Luv it. It's the way we dump now.
Yay! Glad to hear it! It sure has been a game-changer for us! Thanks for watching and commenting.
I will take the scenic site our the sewer site all the time. We are set for boondocking and stay without hookups for 7 days. We take Kirkland baths; using the large Kirkland wipes which we have nicknamed “party wipes”. Love your channel! Keep up the good work! To warm up the shower water, we run the cold shower water in a 5 gallon bucket and use that as kitchen water. Our grey water always fills up before the black. Great idea about the macerator pump into our tote which we have named “toot”. Thanks!
Hi! Sorry for the delay. For some reason RUclips held your comment for review (crazy!). You are in the minority about scenic vs sewer. We've had several people comment they want that sewer hookup and can always walk to the view. That's what we see on forums, too. People will give up the view to get sewer. And that's why we made this video, because it doesn't have to be that way. You guys have it down with the Kirkland showers- lol! It's true for us, too, that grey fills first. Hope to meet you on the road someday.
I watched a video from another RV couple where they use a macerator to pump their black tank into a household toilet when they were mooch docking. Thanks for the great info!
That's awesome! You would definitely need a longer hose, probably a garden hose, to do that. We know lots of people are moochdocking so a macerator would be a great help.
My boyfriend and me live at my parents in a 5th wheel and we were pumping sewage - using the tote but recently got a gas golf cart and this method was a game changer - it takes me 45 minutes to deal with the tanks - 2 gray and 1 black and to dump is easy - place the back tank in the bed of the gold cart and then go flush it at the RV hooks near my moms house - thanks for the tips - also where did you get that hose
There are links to everything in the description and the pinned comment, yes that wider hose sure helps. So glad you enjoyed this video, feel free to share!
Great video! You guys explained it better than anyone. So if you are staying at a COE without sewer and you use the macerator and tote, do you make two trips to the dump site? 1st for the sewer, then 2nd for the grey tank? This is all new and I’m trying to picture how it all works. Thanks!
Yes, that's exactly how we do it. Thanks. We also have an installation video. You'll find the link in the video description. It really is a game changer!
Liz Amazing Thank you so much! You guys are so helpful! Love y’all!
Yes I started out in Quartzsite and had to tow the portable tank same as yours, only took 4 trips to ruin the wheels so I purchased a pump and hose and never looked back!!!!
Yes! So glad to hear this. Thanks for your comment Bob
Great video. I use a different macerator to my sewer about100 feet away. Works great😀 I also use12vdc ext. Cords to power up.
That's awesome. We didn't mention it, but you can take a longer hose and take it directly to a household toilet. Definitely a game changer!
Thank you I just purchased a Fifth wheel and this helped me out so much .
Yay! The macerator really is a game changer. Congrats on your fifth wheel! See you out here!
So apparently shit doesn't go uphill so I got this macerator, hose and adapter you recommended. I was trying to reach 40' ft incline to the septic inlet. I used a regular garden hose in combination with the extension hose to reach and for power I added some wire extensions from the macerator to my battery bank so I just need to plug in the wire connectors supplied and push the button. Works good. Problem is I have two black tanks with two separate outlets far apart from each other so the other one is still a slight issue to dump but it's closer to the septic inlet. Fyi for those who have two separate outlets; Don't try and use the macerator connected to a Y connector on rhino hoses. It just sucks up the hoses. Kinda like trying to suck up a thick milk shake through a cheap plastic straw, the straw collapses. Lol. Otherwise the flojet is good. Hope it can handle all the thick long hair of my partner. Her hair is my worst enemy.
Thank you! Here's our update: ruclips.net/video/QzTkLgpxXnE/видео.html
Good info RD, Thanks!
I can see a potential issue if enough hair gets wrapped around the impeller, good luck with that.
Thanks again for a great comment. P.
@@LizAmazing no problem. Thank you for your detailed video. You two helped a lot. I too spend time using the tote so it is going to help not having to take it out the bed of the truck.
Good luck out there. We are in Oregon now trying to make it through summer. Waiting for all the part timers to go home already. ; )
I am a full timer, permanent (non-moving) 5th wheel. Currently have the normal sewer hoses and looking to go to this pump style. Question.....I leave my grey tank open all the time for drainage, can I still do this with the macerator pump?
Exactly what I do, works great. You save a ton of money doing it with pumping into tank in back of truck!
Soooo true. Thanks for this.
thanks for the bleeps! Ha ha! i love the ending! KA BOOM! if you want to edit it sometime, after the ka boom you could have brown liquid flying everywhere then dripping down off the screen, accompanied by screams....
Oh my! THAT would definitely be a little graphic. Yikes. We had fun and thanks for watching our sewer solution video!
We have an Airhead composting toilet. It saves water usage when dry camping. I was afraid of it at first, but after having it for over a year, I would never have anything else. We pulled our black tank and installed a second, larger grey tank. We also have a macerator to pump grey water into a water bladder into the back of our truck instead of having a tote - we used to have a tote, but now, since we just have gray water its less dangerous and we can use a lightweight bladder, the same type for acquiring freshwater.
Sounds like you have a good setup for dry camping. Did you know in Australia they call it "wild camping?" I love that. We have heard good things about Nature's Head which is probably similar to Airhead. Happy camping to you!
Great video! I also have a Macerator and have used it a few times... really is a life savor. No more pulling that poo tote around.
Yep! Paul loves it- and now I get to have hash browns AND a view!
Enjoyed the tech talk on the reality side of cleaning the tanks. I wondered how a less physically endowed person like me would handle moving the waste water. As usual you two are showing the way. Back when we were a road warrior family the head was strictly for use when you were sick or injured. Often the campgrounds were selected based on non pit toilets and showers if at all possible. The trips were more mapped out by the quality of the facilities then by what we came to see. We spent a lot of the time hiking to the restrooms. The tank cleaning was often done once or twice during the whole vacation and in those days emptying the tanks was done on the way out of the campground at a drive in dumping station. The idea of actual sewer connections at the site..... wow that would have been pig heaven.
Yes! Things have really changed, haven't they? I started camping in the late 80s and it was assumed for many decades that electric AND water were luxuries. Now full hook-ups is standard at many private campgrounds. We've been to several RV parks where the sewer hookups are in such demand that people stake out sites, sign up for them or otherwise demand them. I think for the fulltime RV life, a lot of people have a washer/dryer on board or kids so they just have to have the sewer. Thanks for your comment. And YES you can handle the tote with no heavy lifting if you get the macerator. See ya on the road!
Lol this was funny. I love the way you bleeped out the "word" lol. I also love the way you guys hold hands in your videos.
Awww, thanks so much Gladys. We love having you with us. See you in the next video!
I will never look at my kitchen blender/mixer the same again; might put me completely off baking for good!
I know, right? But yes, it looks the same inside. Blarhgh!

😂😂😂 now that's hilarious. What would be interesting is if someone went to a therapist after this video and I can just see the therapist saying to themselves "well, this is going to be a crappy day". 😅
this episode made me laugh so much with you two!
Awww, thanks so much! We are having fun making these videos for sure. Thanks for watching and commenting.
I removed my tank and went with a tote and a pump. Getting ready to go with a straight pump hooked direct to toilet. Will pump to tote or direct to sewer line. Seen a few of these hooked this way and was impressed. No smell anymore.
Yes! Being able to pump to a household toilet is a big plus for many. Glad it is working for you!
I have had a Macerator for my RV for 5 years. When boondocking or camping without sewer at campgrounds near home (less than 50 miles) I won't even bother to use the dump station. I'll just come home and empty into my home sewer through the clean out. I can take my time and get the tanks really clean. But, I don't have a tote so if I have a choice between scenic site or sewer site, I'm taking the sewer site.
Yep, without a tote, the sewer site is the winner! Glad to hear you have a macerator as well. It's been a real game-changer for us! Happy camping to you!
We have never stayed anywhere that's had sewer.. the pump looks interesting thanks for sharing!
And if you driveway-dock, you can use a garden hose and pump directly to a toilet. Who knew!
I've been boondocking for nearly 4 months in a BLM long term visitor area(LTVA). I use the same method Paul described. Tote in the back of the truck, and I fill the tote using the macerator pump. I'm a mile and a quarter from the dump station. I also have a 30 gallon fresh water bladder. My routine is, once a week, I dump my tanks into the tote, dump the tote, then fill the water bladder before my return. I also have a 12v fresh water pump, like what the 5th Wheel has for internal water. I use it to pump the fresh water from the water bladder into my fresh water tank. I have not had to move my fifth wheel for water management. I've used the mactator for dumping into a household sewer via the cleanout, while moochdocking too. (people should check local regulations on that one). I can say, this is a worthwhile investment, and can be a real convenience, and time saver...
Awesome comment, Roger, thank you very much. Loved hearing that you haven't had to move your rig in all this time. As far as moochdocking goes, one could run a garden hose into the house and dump into the toilet. Thanks again for your endorsement of the macerator pump!
You mentioned a macerator might not be good when you're boondocking. It's the perfect accessory if you're boondocking, if you also have a fresh water bladder & a pump to transfer the water to the rv. We've spent months in the desert north of Yuma, AZ & never had to move the rv. We have an 85gal vinyl water bladder that we got from the company that used to make the blue 45gal one for Camping World. They'll make any size you want, & when you're not using it, it folds up very compactly. The company is New World Mfg., in Cloverdale, CA. You also need a pump, either AC or DC. I bought an AC pump from Harbor Freight. I pump the waste into my 35gal tote in the truck, then go to the nearest dump & empty it. Then I fill the 85 gal water bladder & return to the rv & transfer it into the rv. So we can sit out in the Southwest desert for long periods, & not have to be stingy about my water usage.
Yay! Glad to hear! You got that right about the bladder, too. We just did a video about that, check it out here: ruclips.net/video/qi-9y8ml424/видео.html
And it sounds like you have a good setup and are living the good life in the desert!
Thanks for the ideas guys.. how about the button? Where did he get that? Thanks..
Thank you for watching! What button are you talking about? The red one comes with the macerator or was there something else?
@@LizAmazing Yes the button for the macerator.. I did not see it mentioned on amazon. Thanks that answers my question, it comes with the macerator...
I just bought a trailer and it's going to be stationary on my parents property for a good long while and the septic tank is only 50-100 feet away and I've been unsure on how I'm going to work out the black tank situation. This might be my solution but I'm not too sure how it will do during winter.. time to do a lot more research
Yes, this may be the answer for sure. Thank you for watching and congrats on your trailer!
My coach came with a m pump system which I had never seen before in my life I have used it since 2007 and it is absolutely wonderful. And it will pump uphill 40 ft.² through a 1 inch line. Thomyt
Yay! Macerator pumps really are game-changers! See you on the road!
WOW!!! I super-need this macerator.
Yes! It sure makes life a lot easier. If you look in the description you will see a more detailed video talking about the installation.
Does a bear quack in the woods? . Life is tough on the RV road!
lol! Thanks for watching and commenting!
We have the same rig and just bought a Valterra twist on tank valve at the base of our tank drain. Our previous RV had it and it is nice to have (no surprise when you take the cap off!). As low as it was before, it is lower now! My husband is wanting to maybe cut back the drain tube so that it doesn't hang so low. Will let you know how that goes.
As to choice of site, we would choose the view over the sewer - as long as we have access to a dump station (and you never know who you might run into at the dump station! LOL) we are ok. But with two of us and only weekend or short term trips, we don't need sewer so often but longer trips, we would likely want the sewer hookup.
Very good points! I had the twist-on, but yes not enough room to add one on this rig. When we got in that tight situation at the Idyllwild campground, we broke off the sewer cap so we know we are low. I think you could cut off some of it with a dremel. Paul has a roto-zip, which is kind of a dremel on steroids!
hahaha you guys are cracking me up with how much fun youre having with the word play haha
Great! Thanks for watching!
Hi guys🤗 We camped for 4 days at a KY COE park last fall it was our first time there. The park only had 10 sites, water & electric only. All the sites had beautiful lake views, it was a very pretty campground. The only problem was the dump station, the way it was positioned it was impossible to dump tanks directly from our 5th wheel. Even my brother with his 18’ travel trailer could not. So all of us had to use our rolling sewer totes. Hubby would fill it up, walk it over to the dump station and repeat until both the black & grey tanks were empty. We were just glad we were right across from the dump station. Don’t know that we’ll camp there again!
Oh my. Good thing you were close enough to walk the tote over. How crazy is that? I used to camp at a COE on Green River Lake, loved it!
@@LizAmazing , Oh wow, which COE did you camp at?? We love Kendall Campground at Wolf Creek Dam in Jamestown. Already have reservations for a trip in May there.
Thanks for the straight “quack” on dealing with “quack”!
You’re so welcome! Quack-quack!
May I ask what brand of macerator pump did you buy? Thanks for posting this and every one of your videos, we find them very interesting, helpful and entertaining.

All the info on the macerator is in the video description. And here is the install info: ruclips.net/video/mAb7sHd09PM/видео.html
Thanks for sharing the information. I would pick a view site over a sewer site every time too. Twice now we have experienced campgrounds that will empty our sewer with a honey wagon as part of the campground fee. Isn’t that a dream!!!!! Of course it was in Alaska :)
Now that is a dream! Our sewer solution has come in handy several times now. One site we had the sewer hookup was uphill, so Paul used the macerator when emptying the black and gray tanks. Looking forward to Alaska!!!!
I gotta be honest...if I have a choice between a sewer hookup site and a view site, I'm gonna pick the sewer site every time!
OMGolly! I had no idea that was the secret to great hash browns. I can never get that nice golden crispness. I'm going to give rinsing a try.
There are 2 other things that will help to get them golden brown
1) get them as dry as you can - I use a cotton kitchen towel, and 2) use plenty of Ghee (clarified butter)
Enjoy some yummy hashbrowns! And let us know what time to be there!
Finally, here's our hashbrown recipe! ruclips.net/video/BUYIo6AVwuU/видео.html
Wow, what a great idea! We're not full timers, but it would still be great not to be sewer dependent! Thanks.
Yes, it's a game changer for sure! Thanks for watching and commenting. Paul and I wish you a wonderful 2021 camping season!
There’s nothing like a good 💩 video! Reminds me of the time I dropped the elbow from the dump hose into the dump station tank. My wife asked how I was gonna get it out. “I’m not! I’m going to Walmart for a new one.” She got down on her belly and reached in there and fished it out. I knew at that moment that she was a keeper.
Oh my! What a great story! I'd be buying another one for sure. Thanks for the laugh and hi to your wife. You both are welcome to sit around our campfire any day!
I’m with her! But I’m a retired RN. I have been covered in other people’s 💩 It’s not even an occupational hazard as a floor nurse, it’s just a way of life…
Wow, she IS a keeper!
The best tank to use is a 50 gallon plastic barrel. Use one with the corse and fine thread bungs so you can use standard pvc for the outlet on the corse side. Add waste gate to the output and get a hose bulkhead for the hose from the macerator. Its a much cheaper setup than a store bought tank. Make sure all connections are well sealed and it will give years of service. My tank setup cost less than 60 dollars and i have a 50 gallon capacity which is well above the trailers 32 gallon black tank. Also add an air vent on the top.
That’s awesome, John! Thanks so much for sharing. I’m not sure that everyone that is traveling can carry a 50 gallon barrel, but definitely helpful. Thanks for watching.
@Liz Amazing I edited my comment to fix one word and added the air vent to it. Won't fill or empty too well without an air vent. I do understand that some can't use a 50 gallon drum. My camper is a 36' pull behind so I have a lot of space. They do have 30 gallon drums as well. Those should work for others and you could use 2 of them.
I love our macerator. Hope it never clogs up. BTW thanks for taking us into Algodones for the first time. We went back with another couple and got a hair cut. Take care.
Hi Scott & Laura! Welcome to RUclips! We have not had any problems with our macerator either. It's truly been a game-changer and allows us to no longer need full hook up sewer connection when camping. Hope to run into you two again!
@@LizAmazing We are in Quartzsite now but heading toward FL on Monday.

Hello, great topic and helpful. Just love the end of the video, really made us laugh. Stay Safe.❤️😘from your Aussie nomad friends.
Awww, thanks! We are having fun and glad to have you along for the ride!
I bought these items, too because we have had to boon dock at home due to smoke from fires. Our home, a cabin is far from air tight! We do not have potable water and and far away from our septic clean out. We are 20 miles from a dump site! I bought the biggest tank before thinking about, "and then?" So, yes, in the truck bed for sure! We just partially filled and had a terrible time getting it into the truck! Then i read about the macerator, bought that but have not used it because of wiring. The directions are a bit sketchy. I have a 12V jumper cable battery that i pump tires with, too, and now a 1000 w Jackery "generator." Can i use one of those somehow? I bought clips. Can i put clips on the wires and clip them to the jumper cables on the 12 volt? I really need it very soon as we were unable to dump last trip. I have to enlist a neighbor to get it into our narrow steep windy drive backward! Last time we got deep scratches in the truck hitting the fence post! That was with help! We are selling our place, but it is not an easy sell. We would use the RV much more if it weren't for that! Now my truck is ruined😒. Once we sell, we are going to get a fifth and different truck to full time. Could you do one more vid covering the electical for the macerator, please?
As long as the battery clips will handle 20 amps they should work.
Perhaps I should do a video on the setup I did for now I'll attempt to explain it;
I used 10 gauge wire and a 30 amp fuse on the positive leg and I ran the circuit from the battery to a spot in the pass through where I have about 4' of the wire spooled up and stowed in a little cubbyhole on top of the wet-bay so that when I need it I just pull it out and plug in the macerator.
@@LizAmazing thank you. I will look on the package. I did not look at different sizes, just saw these clips that looked the right size. The rest sounds great, but uh-huh glaze over on the rest, sorry. It will come especially if you do a step by step. It sounds like a better idea. How do you store your quack hose? I have my cleanout hose in a black bag, but what a pain! The last 2 places had cut off their hose ends so i could not use the flush! I tried to just hold it up to it but just got a great shower! That was at Marysville, WA I5 rest stop both sides of the freeway. But was i grateful for the dump! Thank you.
That is a great idea when at a no sewer hook up👍🏼, don’t know if I would have ever thought of doing that! Thank you. 🍻

Hi Maarten, that's awesome! Let us know how you like it. You keep safe as well- and warm!
Is there a way to hook this up to those portable camp toilets? I don’t want to deal with a big waste tank when it’s time to dump I’d like to just hook up straight to the portable toilet and dump into the sewer station.
You can, but it may not be worth it. Small portable toilets like the Lugaloo hold less than five gallons. It's best to find something to dump it to that is about the size of your black tank. However, if you are driveway camping you can hook it to a garden hose and run it straight to a toilet.
Great info, we all have to deal with it! We're not quite there yet but excited to learn what works for us.
Soon you'll be out here talking 💩 with the rest of us!
QUESTION: i have the same set up but i was wondering how you connected the 1" hose to the tote tank. Is it always like you videoed where you have just shoved the hose into the elbow? i am in fear of that and having the pump pushing it out of there and having a s&*$tty day. :) Did you find a better connector piece, and if so where? Or have you just ran with it like that? i have searched high and low for some sort of connection piece, but to know avail. Any help would be appreciated!
No, I just use that 90° elbow. I don’t hold it down, it stays put. Just have someone stand there and hold it the first time to be sure. But I have never once had a problem- Paul
My Super C has a built in macerator pump and they are impressive and fast. But you have to be smart when you dry camp for sure,it only takes one time to figure that out!
That's awesome, a lot of Class A's have them, too. They really are a handy dandy camping item. Happy trails to you!
Did you ever look into the "sewer solution" for your sewer line, I got one with an extra hose for about $150.
We are not sure it it would be robust enough for the long term. Glad to hear you are happy with that. Thanks for watching.
paul, hook up a remote switch to "dump on the fly". (not really)
for tank cleaning, before a move, dump a couple of bags of ice in the toilet with a little dish soap right before you leave for a relocation. the ice will scrape the sides and bottom while you drive. dump before parking.
We have heard that doesn't work bc ice floats.
@@LizAmazing there's no water for it to float in when you start.
Liz, do you know why humming birds hum? .....because they don't know the words!
Liz Amazing, what size camper do you guys have? We are considering going full time and wondered what is comfortable to drive and yet comfortable to live in? Thanks for your response.
We started out with a 30' fifth wheel (when Paul moved in with me). But that was too small. We now have a 35' Solitude fifth wheel. It's perfect for living in and we never get cabin fever- and it's now been 11 months. However, driving it has been stressful at times. We definitely would not get bigger. Here's a tour of our home: ruclips.net/video/aJBzbsDXRII/видео.html
And if you don't know our story of how Paul and I met on the road, here it is: ruclips.net/video/jvWDUG3zgdA/видео.html
Have you ever heard of the endless shower! It is a system where you recycle your shower water with filters and UV light… we will be installing one this year.
Yes we have! Super cool, exciting that you’re getting one!
My Jayco Pinnacle came from the factory with a macerator. The problem is that the engineer who designed the rig has the handle to open the discharge installed under the camper under a slide out. I’m 73 years old and don’t want to climb under it every time I want to dump it. Especially when I’m parked on a gravel site.
Oh no, that's not good. I wish there was some fix for that. Thanks for watching.
How has your macerator doing is it still holding up
Yes, very much so. Paul uses it about once a week.
Seen one guy . Turn on and off. ? He would wait for gray water to fill clear pipe. Then turn on? And he did not say on black tank.?? . Can it run dry. How long. Or should you guess when it’s dry and needs water in black tank to get rest out..
I don't know what you saw, perhaps he was flushing his black tank. I know Paul turns the water off and on when he is doing that.
Liz you might want to try raw apple cider vinegar for deodorant and skin folds - amazing!
Balances the skin ph and helps before and after sun - no burning, hair rinse and more.
Great tip! Thanks so much. See you in the next video.
How long-running the macarater before it gets hot and stops working?
That’s never happened. As long as you have liquid is going through it, it should have some cooling effect.
Most macerators will empty the tank loooong before the pump gets warm. And most have thermal cutoff to save the motor. The one I have even has a slot on the back of the motor so if it jams you can manually turn it to clear the clog. Thermal switches will automatically switch back on. You can dump a 40 gallon tank in 4 to 5 minutes.
New to channel, question do pumps only come as 12 volt ?
Yes. They are only 12 volt, 20amp so you have to hard wire it. We have a short video showing how it was wired: ruclips.net/video/mAb7sHd09PM/видео.html And welcome to the channel, we are glad you're here!
Loved the ending......LOL LOL LOL
Thank you! That was fun! See you in the next video!
This is excellent information! Even if it is information people would rather not have to deal with! hehe
Yep! It truly is a game-changer!
Where is Paul's new channel? Does he have an Amazon affiliate page?
Paul on the Road. He does not have an Amazon store. You will find everything here: Store: www.amazon.com/shop/lizamazing
What hose did you buy for pumping it to the tank?
They are in our Amazon Store and you'll need the adapter, too. Thank you! www.amazon.com/shop/lizamazing
@@LizAmazing perfect thanks for the quick reply!
Thanks for the tips. It will be interesting in NW for us. We sure like a sewer hook up. But to do a poop tote, not sure on that one. 🤣👍🏼💩
Yeah, it's not for everybody!!! But having a tote and macerator allowed us to spend what ended up being 29 days at Idyllwild. It was really heavenly and we could not have done that without them. They also had a honeywagon so that is another perfectly sane option!
THANKS FOR INFO ON VITAL SUJECT ON RV LIFE.
It sure is! Thanks for watching and commenting.
Good video I was looking to stay up there at LaConner Washington someday I didn’t know they didn’t have full hook ups everywhere I sure enjoy your videos I look forward to them I hope you guys are doing well stay safe on the road
We LOVE La Conner- but those full hook-ups are really rare. It is the only place we've been to where people at 6 or 7am set up lawn chairs by campsites and wait for the camper to leave. If I were a newbie, I wouldn't want that pressure to pack up - especially since checkout time isn't until noon. Even without full hookup, La Conner is a must-see. Hope you get to that part of the woods!
After buying two of the I went to Lowe’s and bought a garbage disposal and a few parts for $175.
Wow! Now that's resourceful. Seems like it would be a lot bigger than the macerator, but sounds like it does the job.
Black tank emptied then flush, flush, flush. The gray tanks join the drain lines at a junction. It does NOT flow thru the black tank to flush.
Hi Liz and Paul!! I know we are talking 💩 today, but would you guys consider having Paul show us how to make his hash browns, start to finish and another favorite dinner recipe? Denise, Vancouver, WA
Hi Denise! We may have to do that sometime. Thanks for the vote for hash browns!
Here it is, hashbrowns!!! ruclips.net/video/BUYIo6AVwuU/видео.html
Excellent story even with the Potty Mouth. You made this dirty subject very clear. Thanks you two. bill in Florida
Hi Bill! Thanks so much for watching and commenting- and for keeping it clean!
Practice regularly making a quick escape through the exit window. Exiting correctly and safely needs to be learn in advance. Seconds count.
Patty, that is such a good tip. You have to know how to do it. You definitely don't want to learn in the moment!
Should be a standard item in all black tanks, it would be easily accessible by removing the toilet to service if needed, this would be a submersibe digester as used in homes unable to gravity flow back to main sewer lines. You could run it just before draining the tanks and even grind or process tissue to drain.......just 2 cents from a retired plumber.....enjoyed the video..
You know...you could go onto business with this idea!
I have scary story. Mice ate the wiring. Insurance company said they'd pay for it, 12,800 some dollars. BUT when the bill was due they backed out and we had to get a second mortgage on the RV. That was thru a good sam company, General Insurance.
Oh no, how awful. So very sorry to hear this Vernon. Wishing you brighter days head.
I just want to say I just started following you I love see you to get together. I'm getting ready to do this on my own as well hope I find love lol so happy for you both.
Hi Tammy, That's just great to hear. We'd love to see you out here. And you never know...your "Paul" might be out here waiting for you! One thing that experience taught me was the importance of being friendly to everyone-- even if I don't think they are dating material (at the time). I'd ruled Paul out at first as being too old for me. But over the months he proved himself to be such a good friend. Wishing you best of luck!
1fiRSt!! YesSiRr!! Thankz for sharing!! AlWayz a good watch!!
Awesome! Thanks for watching and commenting. That macerator really saved our bacon!
I liked the blow up at the end!
Ha-ha, that was fun! Thanks for watching!
The END 😂😂. 1yr old video still helping people. If I buy one I will through your link 👍. Thank you for a great video, ok I have to do as requested…..glad it was not a shy video
Hi there! Thanks so much for watching till the end, so glad you enjoyed that! We just posted a new video, check it out here: ruclips.net/video/gKS5lM31FLw/видео.html And thanks for being part of our RUclips family!
2:10 - WOW! Blast from my past as a kid in the 1970's with that fake "water crisis"....I remember in school them saying "water crisis! Water CRISIS!" (there wasn't one, remember the 'Next Ice Age' in the 1970's too? yeah, uh huh.)
Back to topic....the rhyme was "if it's yellow let it mellow..if it's brown, flush it down"
To this day i occasionally forget to flush a "#1" and get taken to task for it.
I'm more amazed at how a nonsense habit can be installed in children and carry over into your middle age....then i look out the window and say 'oh, yeah...that's how they do it...."
That was the rhyme! Thanks!
I have a clear elbow I put between the pump and the sewer connection
That sure helps. Thanks for this, and for watching.
superstorm about to hit all of california; did you get any yet? get extra hair spray!!
We had HAIL the other day! And woke up this morning to 34 degrees! I asked Paul why if we have a home on wheels are we spending time at a place we have to wear gloves, lol! The weather has mostly been perfect, except for these past few days. And I'm out of hair spray!!!! Thanks for checking in, hope you are toasty warm!
@@LizAmazing I cant LIVE without hairspray n lipstick! its much colder here of course but overall except for the last 10 days we have had a very mild winter so far.

All I can can say is....you guys really know your s*#%! 👍
lol! Thanks, Ed! We certainly are still learning out here- and the macerator has been a game-changer!
Good info 👍
Thanks, Patrick! Having a macerator has been a game-changer for us!
This proves that poop don't Always Rolls Downhill!!! :-)
It sure does!!!
I like sewer hookup, so I can flush that black tank!! I can't ever get those darn sensors clean. Ugh!! I can take a walk for the view.
Yep! I'm on my eight camper and those sensors are pretty worthless. Unless...you don't put paper down there. Ick. Thanks for watching and commenting!
I just learned that TankTechRX will CLEAN your sensors-yay! Here's our video about it: ruclips.net/video/2Ziwfzf6xK4/видео.html
I don’t understand y u would ever need a masarator when u can just put in blue chemicals …and turns all into liquid?
They charge $60 each tank in Oroville CA to come pump and dump. This is gonna pay for itself.
Yes, it will pay for itself in no time. Check out our video showing the installation, link to video in the description.
Did anyone else automatically try to "shoo" the fly around 10:40!!!
I thought it was funny that we had a fly right when we were talking about not showering for a week! Oh my goodness!
Yes! That was hilariously timed! Even Mother Nature has a sense of humor 😂
Your videos are always a good watch even though this one was full of 💩. I’m the one who likes the full hookup while hubby can live with just water and electric. I will do “no sewer” for only a couple of days. After that? Um, no.
Being a retired RN, I dumped more than my share of 💩 in my lifetime so I’m not going to bring along a honey bucket of my own to do more of the same. 🙄
In my world, it’s sewer over the viewer. I can stroll to the view. Not interested in strolling to the dump station. 😎
Looking forward to the next vlog.
lol! I love your comment! Sewer vs Viewer! If I were still solo, I would not be bothering with a macerator or even a tote! But Paul is the tech guy and he loves this sewer solution. And I have to admit I get the benefit of a good view-- and hash browns! Thanks again for your comment- see you in the next video!
I'm with you, Mary! 😁
_"In my world, it's the sewer over the viewer. I can stroll to the view."_
My thoughts exactly! 😁 💩
Nice video...not shitty 🤣👍🇺🇸
Oh good! Maybe we should have warned people not to eat while watching!
So, poop smoothies, then. Cool beans.
