Last time I went to DR I visited Saona Island. It was a mission and a half to get there from Punta Cana. Today I just booked my return to DR and I’ll be staying here in 40 days. Excited to come back 😊
Hi Jho_momma! Ugh tell me about it! I did a Saona tour from Breathless Punta Cana (Uvero Alto area) and it was more than a 12-hour day but man was it worth it to see the beach & that crystal clear water!
Thanks for sharing. One of the best videos reviewing resorts that I've ever seen! Honest, direct and human (not an AI describing the hotel). Thank you.
Hi Laercio! Thanks for the feedback! I made the mistake of using AI in one of my videos last year and it made the whole theme of the video seem fake and untrustworthy. Thanks for watching!
These resorts are part of Hyatt. Hyatt Inclusive Resorts. The one in Punta Cana/ Cabeza De Toro should be opening soon if it hasn't already. Thanks for the additional info.
Hi JGates! Yes both Sunscape Coco and Sunscape Dominicus are now open. They used to be part of AM Resorts but All Inclusive by Hyatt took over. Thanks for watching!
Hi Christine My husband and I are thinking of going here but we have a question about the rooms. There is a building that has swimout rooms…if you’re facing the beach, it would be on the far right side and is the closest building to the beach. Do you know if it is an Adults Only or a Families building?
Hi Carolyn! I don't know for sure but will say that most of the time, swim up rooms are automatically designated Adult Only due to the liability the resort would incur if a family was staying there and the kiddo's snuck out at night.
Hi,we are looking to book this hotel, but it's not easy to find more picture online. Are all the restaurants open? Because sometimes when the hotel is newly open only partial restaurants could be open....And is all included in all inklusive? Thx
Hi Admila! They will schedule an official photo shoot once the resort has been open for a few months and all decor and furnishings are in place. Little things like a wee flower on the restaurant table - those type of things are the last to get done and often are done after the place is officially open. The camera crew will come in and take over specific places and will remove the windows from the rooms to make them look more airy. I've never understood why they do this but it is what it is. The restaurants will rotate until they are at full capacity. Usually, the resorts start out as low as 20% during the opening week and build up each week from there. It's really smart, as it gives the staff a hands-on opportunity to re-affirm the procedures they've learned in training. Once they are up to full capacity (typically within the first 2-3 months tops), they will have all restaurants open, but again, this will fluctuate during low season. No sense having 13 restaurants open if the place is half full - WAY too much food wasted! All dining options are included except the UnWined Cellar - that is an extention of the Italian restaurant and is a private dining option, so there's an upcharge to dine in there. Thanks for watching!
Hello! I'm trying to decide between the resorts on Dominicus Beach, and now I can book Sunscape too. Compared to other resorts like Dreams, Ibero or Catalonia, do you think Sunscape will be better? Tkx!
Hi Fernando! Dreams is part of the same chain but is slightly better calibre than sunscape. Catalonia and Iberostar are nice but I wouldn’t put them on the same level as Sunscape. Little differences in inclusions go a long way toward getting better value for money with sunscape. Hope that helps!
@@ChristineTurner tks a Lot! A question more, as dreams and Sunscape are from the same Company, do you know If its possible to use the commum área from both? I mean, usually we can use restaurants, pools etc from other resorts of the chain. The price os Very atractive for Sunscape but im worry about the front Beach
Hi Paula - most new resorts start out slowly, giving the staff a chance to get up to speed on the menus and service. I suspect they will have everything open soon though! Thanks for watching!
Hi Anarchyalacarte! As I mentioned to Paula - most resorts do a 'soft opening', so they don't overwhelm the staff with a full resort and all restaurants at full capacity. They'll often start out with limited rooms available and slowly build up the occupancy levels at the resort, along with the other restaurants. Thanks for watching!
Do you have confirmation it will open tomorrow? I have heard confussed information about a delay and they have removed the Opening date from their English website
Hi Manuel! I haven't seen anything to the contrary, nor have I received any notifications of a delay. They're very good at sending out notice if a resort is delayed, and I just tried to book a room for tomorrow and it shows as available, so I'm sure everything will open on time!

Also can you confirm, besides the kids club is there any childrens playground? And by the way, whats the sun club? Do we need to pay extra? Or is it some kind of package?
Hi Carolina! Yes the main pool is for everyone and then there's the Sun Club pool, which is only for guests staying in those upgraded rooms. This is a privileged section, with special amenities, better views, and a private lounge, as well as access to that private pool area. If you book a Sun Club category room, you and all other guests in your room have access to all of this; otherwise, you have access to the main areas with all other guests.

Hi Ron! That seaweed is so unpredictable! Sounds like the beaches in Cancun / Mayan Riviera have gone largely unscathed with it this year. Maybe when the weather switches from El Nino to La Nina, it'll bring colder temps and drive it away.
