This is best video I ever seen ...anyway this is my first time , and you didn't waste my time on blah, blah , blah. Thank you very much for scientific approach presentation.Essence only .....we need this in our busy world.
I'm clipping a few from my job and this helps! It's not like I can go in with a shovel to get the roots! You can pretty much do this with all plant life! The Lord made us such a large variety, why not spread the color of love!
This video helped me a lot....such a nice informative vedio...i also did it in the same way and the result was amazing... And the propagation was very fast in water. 😊😊thank you 😊
I know it's naughty but one of my neighbours has the most gorgeous hibiscus plants in their garden and I took some small cutting because I want those exact plants.
As long it's a plant it's okay as it's good to plant tree anyways but yk what few neighbours r not that sharing so it's understandable as long as it is a plant🌚😆
Loved the experiment! I propagate for my organization using sterile soil mix and leave in misting house (mist water every 6 hrs). I have done them in summer (Virginia rainy season outdoors). But I leave 1 or 2 leaves for photosynthesis. Nice clear video - just sharing your results - no fluff nonsense. Thanks keep sharing.
I’m in VA to! I found a 4ft tall multi colored hibiscus braided trunk with yellow, pink &white, just pink & just red all in one plant at Lowe’s on clearance for $13. I replanted in a fabric pot and so far so good. I’m hoping it’ll survive this winter but it’s unlikely, Maybe I’ll try the cuttings in fall to plant next spring. I had an all red one last year but even inside a greenhouse it didn’t make it but wasn’t heated. This video gives me hope.
Thanks for the video. You can easily cut a couple of drainage holes on the bottom. Cut where the cup side meets the bottom. Cut one on each side. Good job on the plants.
Thankyou for this wonderful and easy to follow video i am in the process of moving and wanted to take a cutting from my beautiful hibiscus plant but was worried i would make a mess of it hopefully this will help fingers crossed!

I did this with mine before watching your video…mine are in water…but I did not scratch the bottoms, and do not have roots…only root buds. Is it too late to scratch the bottoms? I have had them 5 weeks.
great and very simple video to follow! I tried propagating mine, but it has been at least 3 weeks and the cutting didn't produced any roots... I had my branch dipped in a rooting powder, at first, the branch produced tiny leaves, then after a week, the leaves remained small and no new leaves produced. I think it's because I didn't scratched off the end that has rooting hormones, and that I had covered the branch with plastic. Does Loam soil not work for these? I will have to wait a few more weeks to try another batch. I'm trying to propagate my confederate rose hibiscus using these methods
I have the hibiscus branch but it is kinda thin its not as thick as yours. I have done everything you showed and placed it in water, can you tell me if it will propagate or not please 🙂
I m trying to propagate a hibiscus stem in water. But the stem gets a green moss covering growth. The white dots of rooting is showing though.pls advice
Hi, i really want to propagate my original hibiscus. It propagated itself on the ground, but it has different flowers. The flowers on my new hibiscus are the same colour, but more simple. In my original hibiscus they look more like a rose and I would really like to have another one like the rose-looking version. If I use these ways, you have shown us, will they give me the exact same flowers as the original?

The water kept running through the drainage holes. How did you get the water to stay in the cup after poking out the drainage holes?
No need to make drain hole in glass for water propagation.
If you know magic than it is possible.

For the water glass, was there a hole at the bottom, no right & also do we change the water or just keep it like that till the branch sprouts?
