hard to explain, depends on the base's size you need, example..base on my base pattern , you have to increase 6 rows that means you will get more stitch by 12 stitches, thanks💖
your pattern's base is 53rows. if I want to make it bigger, how many rows should I make ? in order to suit and match the rows of 2 yarn colors. I want to make a bag with size 1.5x bigger than yours by using 1mm yarn. Can you advise me ?

At 3:42, for the very first row, after the 3 chains, do you do dc in the very next st or you skip the first st. Cause it looks like you skip 1, and i did it and end up with 1 less st for 3dc for the first corner 😢😢. Please help mee😢

Ok as for the first one I think the five stands for something other than the size of the hook and the 3 mm is the actual size . I don't really know about the second one.
