Army is a whole other beast because the pool of fans is so large that you have significant groups within the fandom who disagree completely with each other and have opposite opinions. Like the people who go around saying BTS isnt a kpop group 💀 because they have some things about them that are different. The thing I find amazing is that BTS STILL doesn't get the radio play here in the west, yet still breaks records. That is huge. Because, in the west, radio play is MAJOR. I think it's getting better and radio play is very slowly becoming less relevant for artists, but it is an extremely slow process. It's absolutely incredible what they have achieved.

It’s crazy. As someone who’s not an ARMY but still love their songs and is trying to get to know BTS, these other fandoms sucks cause what they don’t realize is that BTS are the ones who truly made K-pop worldwide. If it wasn’t for them, a lot of people including me wouldn’t have known K-pop. I will always be grateful to them cause if it wasn’t for them, I wouldn’t have known all those beautiful songs, beautiful people/idols and I wouldn’t have met my favorite groups. So just like they said in Mic Drop, “Haters gonna hate”. But I’m happy and proud that they have made it this far and are still achieving. They should be everyone’s inspiration.
I am ARMY and I have never once disrespected another artist or group. Of course, I want BTS to do great things, but I also want other artists to thrive as well. I respect all artists. It's extremely hard to make it in any industry related to art, the hardships, the hustle, everything artists go through is absolutely commendable. Reputed Korean music critics have said on several occasions that K-media particularly doesn't like BTS because BTS happened to become more successful than any other K-pop group WITHOUT GOING THROUGH THE SYSTEM, WITHOUT taking their help while earlier it were them who decided who would be succesful (those groups were from the Big 3). Now after BTS' success, groups from smaller companies, like Ateez and Monsta X, inspired by BTS' journey, and adopting similar strategies (Talented in their own rights) are gaining popularity without the aid of the Big 3 and the Korean media has been forced to change to some extent to accommodate them. That's the impact of BTS. So when fans of some groups refuse to accept it and desperately desire for BTS' downfall, ARMYs are forced to tell them the truth. Also, contrary to "popular" opinion (You too seem to believe that), ARMYs hardly ever start anything. We are more busy streaming for BTS rather than bringing anyone down. 90% of the times, ARMY responds and because ARMY is so huge and arguably intellectually superior than most other fandoms (Because BTS attracts a lot of those kinds of fans), the callback is often stronger and difficult to outsmart! So, I don't think this question even applies to the K-pop world!

Ben, I really hope that this gives you an insight on why ARMY would fight tooth and nail, to the ends of the world for BTS. People label us as toxic and it's not true. BTS have faced multiple injustices since their debut and they have done nothing but work their butts off for us. This is why ARMY loves them. we stan a group who loves their fans so much.
That line was so correct about other stans being so focused on BTS potentially losing that they aren't focused on helping their faves succeed. Every time we have to vote, I take a peek at the results since kpop fans never shut up about how greedy BTS and ARMY are about wanting to win everything. Or how we wont stand aside to let someone else shine for once. Which is so disrespectful to their own faves that they'll admit that they don't think their faves can organically get to the top unless the one on top steps aside so everyone can play pretend that their success is real. These votings are so shameful. At least half of the votes are less than 1%. There's a bunch of 0%, 0.3%, 0.8% etc. And then after that is a bunch of 1-3%. And maybe 3 or 4 groups might hit the 10% section. When you look at the top, the first 2 groups are usually the ones putting in effort. On a good day maybe it's the top 3-5 group. But the support is abysmal but these fans expect these shows to just hand them the awards. The fact that they complained so much about BTS winning a daesang during their hiatus when those stans just needed to show up and vote. It was all their fault that their faves didn't win but they wanted someone to blame for their failure to get the result they wanted. And the biggest complaint they had about BTS winning was that the guys didn't put in as much work as their faves when it came to promotions because BTS were enlisted already. Which is a wild claim in itself to think that ARMY needs BTS to ask us to support before we support. They didn't need promo. We won with a fan love letter song and they were gone. Anyone with sense would know we'd try to get them a win out of our love for them leaving us to no fault of theirs. And even if it wasn't voted, BTS is the biggest juggernaut in kpop. There's only one group that reasonably fits the title of Worldwide icon since they're the biggest household name with the most legendary accolades and impact. Even if someone else won that, no one else actually fits the title if we look at measurable metrics.

As someone who’s not an ARMY but still love their songs and is trying to get to know BTS, these other fandoms sucks cause what they don’t realize is that BTS are the ones who truly made K-pop worldwide. If it wasn’t for them, a lot of people including me wouldn’t have known K-pop. I will always be grateful to them cause if it wasn’t for them, I wouldn’t have known all those beautiful songs, beautiful people/idols and I wouldn’t have met my favorite groups. So just like they said in Mic Drop, “Haters gonna hate”. But I’m happy and proud that they have made it this far and are still achieving. They should be everyone’s inspiration.
I am ARMY and I have never once disrespected another artist or group. Of course, I want BTS to do great things, but I also want other artists to thrive as well.
I respect all artists. It's extremely hard to make it in any industry related to art, the hardships, the hustle, everything artists go through is absolutely commendable.
I just wish all the fandom were happy for one another. The hatred is too extreme.
Even within the ARMY fandom, there are many people who support only one member and disregard the others. There are some who even have hatred for a single member. Plus, these ships are getting crazier and crazier.
I really love BTS and I have always loved our fandom but these days things are getting a little sad.

I've been an Army since 2018 I fell in love with their integrity and their love for us I've never seen such a huge and popular band love their fans so earnestly and honestly. They've always given back to their community and fans and praised other artists I know I don't know them but what they have shown us is that they are genuine how could you hate that. Also I knew Latto but even she praised JK so why they would even say that is beyond me and trying to discredit Suga as a rapper is crazy

Why can't we all be friends and support each other you say? Because the K-pop industry relies on K-pop fans competing and even hating on other groups. In the case of BTS however, it is not just fandoms but literally media houses and companies who constantly have tried to harm them (This is not a sentimental fan speaking. Any K-pop fan who is honest to themselves and has seen the way BTS has been treated by the K-pop industry would admit it.) Reputed Korean music critics have said on several occasions that K-media particularly doesn't like BTS because BTS happened to become more successful than any other K-pop group WITHOUT GOING THROUGH THE SYSTEM, WITHOUT taking their help while earlier it were them who decided who would be succesful (those groups were from the Big 3). Now after BTS' success, groups from smaller companies, like Ateez and Monsta X, inspired by BTS' journey, and adopting similar strategies (Talented in their own rights) are gaining popularity without the aid of the Big 3 and the Korean media has been forced to change to some extent to accommodate them. That's the impact of BTS. So when fans of some groups refuse to accept it and desperately desire for BTS' downfall, ARMYs are forced to tell them the truth. Also, contrary to "popular" opinion (You too seem to believe that), ARMYs hardly ever start anything. We are more busy streaming for BTS rather than bringing anyone down. 90% of the times, ARMY responds and because ARMY is so huge and arguably intellectually superior than most other fandoms (Because BTS attracts a lot of those kinds of fans), the callback is often stronger and difficult to outsmart! So, I don't think this question even applies to the K-pop world!
And they are still taking care of us..even before 2025..At the moment it's:

Ben, I really hope that this gives you an insight on why ARMY would fight tooth and nail, to the ends of the world for BTS. People label us as toxic and it's not true. BTS have faced multiple injustices since their debut and they have done nothing but work their butts off for us. This is why ARMY loves them. we stan a group who loves their fans so much.

That line was so correct about other stans being so focused on BTS potentially losing that they aren't focused on helping their faves succeed. Every time we have to vote, I take a peek at the results since kpop fans never shut up about how greedy BTS and ARMY are about wanting to win everything. Or how we wont stand aside to let someone else shine for once. Which is so disrespectful to their own faves that they'll admit that they don't think their faves can organically get to the top unless the one on top steps aside so everyone can play pretend that their success is real.
These votings are so shameful. At least half of the votes are less than 1%. There's a bunch of 0%, 0.3%, 0.8% etc. And then after that is a bunch of 1-3%. And maybe 3 or 4 groups might hit the 10% section. When you look at the top, the first 2 groups are usually the ones putting in effort. On a good day maybe it's the top 3-5 group. But the support is abysmal but these fans expect these shows to just hand them the awards.
The fact that they complained so much about BTS winning a daesang during their hiatus when those stans just needed to show up and vote. It was all their fault that their faves didn't win but they wanted someone to blame for their failure to get the result they wanted. And the biggest complaint they had about BTS winning was that the guys didn't put in as much work as their faves when it came to promotions because BTS were enlisted already. Which is a wild claim in itself to think that ARMY needs BTS to ask us to support before we support. They didn't need promo. We won with a fan love letter song and they were gone. Anyone with sense would know we'd try to get them a win out of our love for them leaving us to no fault of theirs. And even if it wasn't voted, BTS is the biggest juggernaut in kpop. There's only one group that reasonably fits the title of Worldwide icon since they're the biggest household name with the most legendary accolades and impact. Even if someone else won that, no one else actually fits the title if we look at measurable metrics.
