Either the thumbnail is wrong, or you copied the problem for the video wrong. The exponent for the left side starting is (1-cos^3θ) in the thumbnail, where you solved for it being (1+cos^3θ). With it being minus, I believe one needs to use the quadratic formula to find the other roots and the quadratic equation results in irrational roots, and therefore more awkward solutions.
