Y’all remember when Oprah Winfrey blasted the hell out of Toni Braxton on TV for having Gucci flatware?
Baby, that conversation has come up again after Oprah recently confirmed that she’s always had financial insecurities, and people are saying that the way she treated Toni was not just about the insecurities, it’s about how Oprah has always been mean and demeaning to, especially black entertainers.
Okay, while celebrating People’s 50th-anniversary special issue, Oprah confessed that even after receiving her first check from the entertainment industry, she was not comfortable spending money on luxury items like designer dinnerware. She was like, “I was going to furnish my first apartment in Chicago, and I walked into Crate & Barrel. There was a flatware set for $49.95.

Due to jealousy from some of my own black co-workers costing me my job. Although, wages were low it was money to help. Nothing like what you all are probably making. I know I’ll be good when making the bigger money; as I know how to manage my money. No negative intent towards anyone.

The same way Toni Braxton felt about Oprah. I felt the same way. I remember watching it that day and I was upset at how the interview went and I can see on Toni face that she was sad and hurt but try to cover it up. Toni may never get an apology from Oprah Winfrey because she might feel like she didn’t do anything wrong , but she really did told Laface to watch her show that day that was wrong on multiple levels I pray that she didn’t do that but if she did, I don’t care what nobody say. Everyone that did wrong people on purpose to get ahead or to hurt people. I truly believe that they get to see that before they leave this Earth 🌏

Oprah is mean spirited
Toni Braxton works very hard and should be able to get expensive flatware if she can afford it. The flatware is not what caused her to go bankrupt. Paying millions of dollars for her own shows is what she claims did it. I believe her because many music artists have sang these songs about how their music label will make the music artist pay for those shows out of their own pockets, while the music label benefits from her investments. She has to hope that she makes a profit from those shows. This is why they must have other businesses going like selling perfume, makeup, and other items so they don’t end up bankrupt. That wasn’t right, Oprah. I’m disappointed to hear this.
The giveaway was tax deductible not out the goodness that isn’t in her heart
Toni Braxton was too classy to straighten Okra out on her own show! But, that’s what she should’ve done because you don’t always get a second chance, and Okra will never apologize to anyone. But, every dog has its day!
