Anyone else noticed there was something wrong with Park Misun? She said only ONE WORD during the whole episode. I get a feeling she is not leaving on good terms with the staff or what?! They didnt even give her a single shot on the camera only full shots with everyone. I loved her on the show.

For those who are curious of what is going to happen on Happy Together, MC Park Mi Sun is going to leave the show. Jeon Hyun Moo will be taking her spot and the show will have a new season coming up. The first 2 guests on the new season will be Running Man members Ji Seok Jin and Gary of LeeSSANG. I can't wait to see how the new season will be and what the format will be compared to the other seasons.

+Noura J to be fair, park misun is funny once every 4 episodes or so. I've always been surprised at how she can keep her spot.

+Noura J Ikr i don't get why the carbon copy pair is still here. They have no impact on the show. Misun on the other hand actually have a presence in the show and it just feel warm and nice to have her in the show.
Actually i wanted to watch this episode because of mina and hongki, after watching this video I suddenly realized I always play yuri and ryohei part again and again. their relationship really make me want them to get married

Demi N He allegedly hit one of the staffs from the production team during the shooting. Hongki wasnt involved in any way, but in the end, it was decided since his partner is leaving the show, Hongki would have to leave to.

Back here again after reading Japanese articles of Ryohei confessing he dated a Korean woman and thought of marrying her before he moved to Japan since he didn't want long distance relationship. Ryohei was also caught dating someone during Friends in Chiang Mai episode. I honestly hoped it was Yuri but then realized it is not good since Ryohei also revealed they have broken up.

When Mina was talking about how Koreans are a lot more straight-forward, it made me think about my husband lol he is Korean and when we first were together, I would get annoyed when he would point out something on me or say something that sounded too blunt but now I'm so used to it lol. Because it's their culture, it's not meant to be rude or to be taken so seriously, it's just like a joke or something you say with people you know or are close to.
Well, I'm half Filipina so I'm a bit tan and my husband loves my skin color. All people in Korea most likely have different ideas of what beautiful is, but it is quite common to hear paler skin being considered beautiful. I've heard that tan skin is considered "sexy" by some. My husband is a bit traditional in a sense of him wanting to be head of the household because he wants to have that sort of respect from his family, but he doesn't expect me to be a housewife or fall into traditional gender roles. We both work and support each other equally. There are many Koreans out there that are still very conservative and traditional though. I would consider my husband to be quite open-minded about most things, but we still have a lot of culture differences that we have to get used to. I think Koreans that are interested in traveling, studying abroad, or have visited many different countries tend to be more open-minded about things. My husband studied in America (thats how we met) and he's been here since we got married.
I did visit Korea before and a few things I noticed was that Korean people are VERY into self-image. I always felt under dressed when I went out because everyone dresses extremely well and cares about their appearance. I wasn't really stared at a lot like some people might think (maybe because I was in Seoul so it was more common to see foreigners). I did have a few run-ins with some rude people, but I tried to look at it from a different perspective and think that it's just a culture difference. People don't really smile at each other or say "hello" on the streets. Everyone kind of keeps to themselves and are in a rush to wherever it is they need to be. Older people are usually the ones that fall into the stereotype of Korean people being too traditional, rude, racist, etc. Respect towards elders is very important in Korea and you'll often see older people pushing others out of their seat because they feel they have the right to it due to their age or they'll openly stare at people, make facial expressions towards those people, etc. But they aren't ALL like that.
Well I think it's time for me to stop writing because I feel like I could just keep going lol. Anyways, hopefully that answered your question!
Oh, Hello Counselor is a good show, BUT it also drives me crazy because they never take the problems seriously. I think they just try to make it light for viewers and comedy, etc. BUT it is not a good representation of how Korean people feel about issues. My husband and I will watch it together and even he will get annoyed or angry at the show because of how they always make it a joke or sometimes people will go on the show that bully others, or don't take care of their kids well, etc, and that makes him annoyed.
My husband said that he can tell that Korea is changing, though. I think there are a lot of important issues that many Koreans care about and they do try to help solve these issues.
Oh and when I went out in Korea, I would feel like I wasn't dressed up enough, but like I said before, people didn't stare at me or anything rude. I mean some people look because I obviously am not Korean and look different, but I feel like no one really paid too much attention to what I was wearing. That being said, it may be a different issue if you are Korean and go out wearing sweat pants and messy hair. They may have a different expectation of their own people possibly. As a foreigner, most people know that the culture is different so they may not think too much about it.
Also, in Korean subway stations, they have assigned seats for pregnant women and elders. I also don't mind respecting elders but in Korea, sometimes the elders push it too far and can be really rude to people because they think that the younger people are not allowed to say anything back. Recently I saw a video of an old man yelling at a military guy on the subway telling him to move (the military guy wasn't sitting in the elders section, just the regular section) and I suppose the military guy could have offered the older man his seat to be polite, but the older man got so angry and was yelling at him and cursing at him and just being really rude. I suppose those are just extreme cases though.
Single mothers is still a bit taboo. I'm not too sure about the issue today, I know that in the past it was a big deal and babies were often left on the streets or just put up for adoption often. I think it may be changing now, but I'm not sure.
The education system is very intense in Korea. My husband went to several hagwons (academy) for several different subjects. He went to regular school as well as art, science, math, and english hagwons. He had many tutors as well to help him in different subjects. His mom was pretty intense on him being a top student though. School lasts almost all day and I believe they have school on Saturdays in certain places (or maybe everywhere? I'm not so sure). They prepare for college entrance exams as well (which is extremely stressful I heard). Their workload is very heavy and there is a lot of pressure on students.
Alcohol is pretty important in Korea. It's very common to drink with coworkers, friends, family, etc. Also it's common to go out drinking after work to get close with coworkers and your boss, etc. I'm actually not a big drinker so that was something my husband and I differed in. He likes to drink, but I just drink occasionally. Drinking is very social there and there are even several table manners that go along with it. Such as pouring the drink for someone that is older than you and receiving and pouring drinks with both hands. It can be considered rude if you refuse a drink when someone tries to pour you one. Thats when it can become troublesome because sometimes you want to stop drinking, but it can look rude to refuse the drink.
I would recommend marrying whomever you fall in love with! Despite the culture difference. As long as you can both communicate and understand each other. It takes A LOT of patience in a relationship with someone outside of your own culture. You both have to understand each others different cultures and try not to get upset over miscommunication. Language can be an issue where if the other person cannot speak your native language fluently, sometimes there can be misunderstandings, so you have to be understanding of that. Also culture can vary and what you are used to might not be common for your partner and vise versa or it could just be something new that you learn to get used to.
Also, I don't know much about dating celebrities since i've never been in that situation lol. I feel like the likelihood of a regular person marrying a Korean celebrity is not very high, but who knows? It can be easy to see celebrities in Korea. Especially if you are in big shopping districts like Hongdae or Itaewon or even at the airport or something. When I was in a shopping district in Korea, there was a broadcast going on so there was a crowd of people around these two guys doing a show. They were interviewing some of the people in the crowd and stuff.
And shows that close down are just due to poor ratings mostly. Same as anywhere else. Like in America, if a show has low ratings then it won't get another season.
