Lately I put your videos on play while I sleep. My way of showing engagement. Most I’ve watched but if I wake in my sleep, I watch again. So much you’ve taught so many
You have some really fun booths, such a nice variety! I love seeing anything from Northern Exposure.I used to have the mohair sofa from Maurice Minnefield’s “home”.
Thanks! I did buy a unicorn recently but it sold too fast to show. I love purple glass but the companies don't like to make it because the chemicals it requires burn out the kilns fast, so it's harder to find. I get it when I am able
01:40 I recognize that blue and white striped piece too. ...Cornishware! Common in the UK but rare here. Had to google to remember whodunnit - TG Green.
I really like Cornishware and wish I could find more, it is popular here but wasn't widely available outside the UK in their time, so we just get what people who traveled to England brought back mainly
DejaVue!!!! I kept my pics when I visited your booth and purchased some of your sweet items!! I must go back there now that you have refreshed your booth George. Do you recall if you have any vintage Celica cars? Unfortunately too busy to leave just yet, but I haven't been to Epic just yet.
Good luck with festive season sales you have some lovely items - I particularly liked the long necked neutral coloured lady bust I love ‘face’ items Walk abouts appreciated too
I really like that piece at 3;18 the wall hanging with the test tubes for flowers. That is really nice and the flowers can be changed at will. I bet keeping it dust free is a pain though. lol Have a great day
I really enjoyed visiting all your booths. I live in Southern California, but visit my daughter in Idaho often. Will have to make a special trip out that way so I can do some antiquing and Thrifting.
You sure have a lot of great things. You do wonderfully displaying your items. It's not as easy as it seems. Color pops are very important. Christmas 🎄 will be a successful time for you, I just feel it.
Wow, that was a great tour of your spaces. I have been very curious. You really have a different flavor at each booth. Lots of experience, in what sells where. Of course I loved seeing my pieces. I know they're in good hands. I am excited to see how they do. Thanks again.
George you are just so amazing. You are so blessed to be so knowledgeable and to remember it all! I really enjoy your videos and thank you for sharing your unbelievable knowledge with us. Do you officially “live” in Kentucky, and have spaces all over the country? This would be my ultimate dream job. Merry Christmas to you and Xeno!
Thank you for your kind words! I feel blessed to get to do something I really enjoy and to get to share it this way is a huge bonus. I spend equal time between Kentucky, Florida and Washington, but it's a little here and a little there
I think you do a great job with your displays. I wish I could come and shop for myself! I'd be in trouble! Ha Ha. I enjoy watching and hearing your appraisals about the items and I have found several things for myself that you have spoke about . Thanks!
Great entertaining video as usual :0) Christmas and New Year greetings to you and your loved ones, hope you have a wonderful time :0) Regards from Japan :0)
Happy Holidays and thank you so much! Do you celebrate Kentucky Christmas? Since I spend part of my year in Kentucky, I find that a fascinating addition to Japanese culture!
Good job George that’s the way to sell you still will make money and you will be ok . Merry Xmas HAPPY NEW YEAR KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK THANKS FOR SHARING YOUR LIFE WITH ME. YOUR PICKER FRIEND FROM WINDSOR ONTARIO JUST ACROSS THE CRICK FROM DETROIT LOL. MAYBE SEE YOU SOME TIME IN WINDSOR OK
As always, I enjoyed your video. Your booths are amazing! Wondering if you have ever, or plan to, do a Native American basketry show. You said they were pretty easy to tell from African,, Philippian etc.
Hi there! Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed them. I should try to do a compare and contrast on baskets while I still have some variety, I'll see what I can do!
Good evening, George! Hope you're having fun in Mexico! Looked like a couple Rolls Royce diecast cars there. I like those. Those opium pipes are neat. I used to have a couple of them. If I had a large room to display them, I'd have a collection of old andirons. Those gargoyle ones are fantastic! Those seed pods interested me. Those would make a nice display in a Native American basket. You have so many nice things in your spaces in those malls! It's a good thing I don't have space for anything else here 😂 That was a super-fun tour!!! Thanks for taking us through your mall spaces!!!!!
I do love good Andiron! The seed pods were a fascinating find to me…and in Kentucky no less. I’m so glad you enjoyed this, I don’t usually feature myself to exclusion of other stuff but I figured it’d been a long time since I showed my spaces
I've seen some really nice antique andirons, but, like my collection of beverage sets, they do take considerable real estate to display, if they're kept intact. I have my granddad's old coal grate, and at one time had put a cushion in it and used it as a footstool. Not a good one to stub your toe on, though 😜😅 I think everyone really enjoys seeing what you have in your spaces. Maybe doing that a bit more often would be good 😉
Hi there! I am almost sold out of Gouda right now, I think I have some Weller still at my space in Tower Avenue Antiques in Centralia. I don't have a booth in Portland but plan to do the Rose City Vintage Market there this July
I love your ruby glass luster's I would buy them, but unfortunately I am in Australia and postage makes it impossible. Cheers Jeff love watching what's popular in the USA.
I'm sorry about that, I've sent things there before but shipping is hard on large items. I enjoy that folks in Australia find this interesting too! I want to go there and hunt for Wembley Pottery someday
George your booths are so interesting! How wonderful it would be to find all that native american stuff. Did it take a long time for you to collect it all? You would think it would be readily available here in NM, but I rarely find any Native American basketry.
It's scarce in NM, I mainly see pottery now! That is part of a giant collection I took on consignment a few years ago, it was accumulated over 40 years and it was a panel truck full
I loved seeing your spaces! I hope I can one day visit in person. I really like the vintage furs you have. I wonder about the price range. The ones I saw here look like mink. ? Do you have any darker colored ones?
I wanted them to have a good home and I knew in the northwest you would find it. And now I don’t have to worry they will end up in Goodwill’s toy section.
I only recently found you, George. I loved watching and learning from your videos! Do you sell on a website? Your integrity is obvious, so I would feel comfortable shopping without personally inspecting your merchandise. Any chance you sell on of the DC Big Fleas?
Thank you! I have an eBay store but I usually have mainly sportscards and books on it. If you see something in a video you like, I will pull it for you if I am near where it is (I sell in 7 malls across the US, so I'm not always where things were left)...just send an email to TheAntiqueNomad@gmail.com. I want to do DC Big Flea but haven't yet
Do you know of anywhere in Connecticut that you would recommend to go antiquing? I’m afraid everything is going to be overpriced because CT is so expensive, so I’ve been hunting at Goodwills. I love your channels! I’m learning so much. Thank you!
I found good stuff at flea markets there, and even the antique shops in NYC had some surprisingly good deals! Don't be afraid because it's a high-income area. I don't know a lot of the antique shops but I do know the RIdgefield Thrift Shop is actually a great place to find antiques & vintage. You might google a few places and then ask for references
Hey interested to see what you decorate your place like. Lol it’s nice to enjoy a lot of nice things at home you only live once lol hence why my home is cluttered with lots of things I like. I tend to keep a lot of stuff to enjoy hence have huge death pile no one to help me sell or list. My home is storage in basement and spare bedroom and bought a 12 x 24 portable garage which was supposed to be for my special edition 2014 convertible CAMARO to store but now full of a bunch of stuff to sell in spring and on Facebook marketplace. WISH ME LUCK NEED GOME SO CAMARO CAN GONIN LOL
I have a piece of black amethyst and I love it for serving! It can appear black or deep purple, depending on how I use lighting. I buy serving dishes but reading online, I am now worried some of my pottery pieces (not the amethyst) will have lead in the glaze. Is there a guideline for when lead would likely be in a glaze or if its safe to eat from??
There is! It is more likely to be in yellow/orange/red glazes than other colors. Lead is actually not an issue as long as the piece was glazed with a clear coat correctly that seals it in, but if I see crazing in the glaze or something else that might allow it to leach out, I avoid it. Folk pottery is more likely (if it seems crude/handmade) to have a problem than commercially manufactured pieces. Some firms (like Fiesta) changed to lead-free glazes long ago and mark their pieces "lead free", but if you're really concerned you can order lead testing kits online.
THanks! I've had the most luck at the big Goodwill on Dearborn, the Value Village in Lake City Way and thrift stores in Tacoma region (from Centralia to Bremerton) over the years
9:42 How tall is that clear glass candlestick in front of the Seattle's world's fair pennant? I have the short and the tall one and am needing the middle size one to have the set of 3. Probably no way of knowing unless I call up there to the mall, and hope it's still there.
The Orrefors, that's a cool piece but I honestly don't know the measurements. If you contact them at (206) 945-2572 and it's the right size, they can sell it to you and I can pick it up and ship to you at the end of the month when I return

I liked that swan just after the Haeger metallic vase.
I saw a couple of things that I would LOVE to buy!
Feel free to send an email, I'll be back there month's end and could arrange it if they haven't sold yet!

I sure have fun putting them together!
The ice bucket alone might make me drive 3 hours! very cool. and love the old bellows
You could always order it and I can transfer it to Centralia at month's end if that helps :)
You came home for Christmas 🎄 ❤️

George you deal in so much volume! Do you a behind the scenes video or something that shows how you manage so many items?
No but I should do!
@@TheAntiqueNomad Happy to provide content ideas! Merry Christmas!

Oh thank you! I don't have a Celica unfortunately
I liked this video, seeing how you style your booths is fun!
Thanks! I know I overpack them because I travel so much but I try to make it focused enough to be shoppable
Good luck with festive season sales you have some lovely items - I particularly liked the long necked neutral coloured lady bust I love ‘face’ items

I really enjoyed visiting all your booths. I live in Southern California, but visit my daughter in Idaho often. Will have to make a special trip out that way so I can do some antiquing and Thrifting.
Please do! You'll have fun, there's multiple antique malls in all 3 locales
“A little bit of boudoir flavor” , love it.
We have nothing like this in Toronto. Years ago we did, but not anymore and I would love to sell.
I notice that it seems Toronto has antique shops and weekly markets, but no place that rents to other dealers?
@@TheAntiqueNomad If there is, I cannot find anything. We have some weekend markets but really not for antiques and vintage.
Your booths look fantastic George!
