I know I am an idealist but i sure would like to see this country remember its common humanity and quit this divisive and often hurtful remarks fueled by political issues overtaking the blessings America has.
The crypto question vote is about common sense, not age. What happened to the urgency to regulate it and the fear of the damage it will do to the economy?
It would work, but unnecessary. Go back and view a handful of them and they expose the leaning the same way your suggestion would. It's probably like 75% maybe 80%.
Depends on the job. Concern is does DOGE understand what is actually required to operate efficiently. My assertion is they have no real target in mind. The actual target is to make headlines.
@@JHam4758 OK, but I'm not sure that is known at the moment. That would be one of the details they're trying to uncover. Also, I don't think you have to have that number ahead of time to find inefficiencies. And I'd guess that DOGE probably does understand what is required to operate efficiently pretty well. I suspect they will have no trouble finding inefficiencies that are totally legit. I think anyone could. What do you think? The gov is a well oiled machine and they won't find any?
There can be a hybrid environment where and when it makes sense to work remote. What is the savings to reduce the amount of office space and the expense of utilities not be mention the saving in infrastructure. Can remote working help reduce family expenses (gas, childcare, car maint., etc...) and give better quality family time by eliminating drive times? Why make people work in a office?
I think it can depend. And the benefits can depend. With some jobs, and maybe some employees - productivity can benefit from a supervisor monitoring goofing off, providing assistance right in the moment, etc. I'm not sure the public trusts gov employees to be working all that hard. So part of this is to have that oversight. The second part is that maybe they don't want to come in the office and maybe they'll quit if required. A way to reduce without layoffs.
They can work from wherever they want once they find their new jobs after DOGE does its job.
