    I use to shoot with a Rb67 handheld occasionally. Get a monopod. That helps a lot with sharpness.

    I bet those polaroids look better in real life. Probably the best video ever made on youtube about the 250mm lens!

    Thanks for the video.
    For tight face shots, I like to use an extension tube between my 250mm lens and my RB67 body.
    To avoid spending so much time loading film in the field, I carry 3 to 6 extra pre-loaded film backs.

    I had the 250mm f4.5 for my RB when I still had it. Took it out for one shoot and that was the only time I got a black roll with the RB so never knew what the photos looked like it.

    Mamiya prices are out of control on eBay, so it is you people that are paying the premium. So grateful to you, I get to keep other brands that don’t attract attention don’t get hyped by “some” people.

    Up until GFX 100 ownership I shot prob 500+ weddings on the RZ early 2000's and this is the only camera worthy of the mighty RZ - The 180 Diamond is the best lens they do but I shot a fashion shot using the 500 APO and it was sublime - the prism finder II is only bettered by that of the Fuji GX680III but in the field that system takes some working - but T+S for portraits is an amazing thing and also top tip the RZ SB barrelled lenses designed for the RZ T+S adaptor are actually better than their non short barrel counterparts - all good - lovely stuff - should have mentioned I am a Fuji Ambassador - carry on - be lucky

    I was thinking you would maybe troll by using a 4x5" where 250mm is kind of a standard focal length :P RB67 is a good one as well, with it giving a FoV of a ~120mm on small format. Nice stuff!

    Not a fan of the Insta look, I think the contrast is quite ugly on most of them (except for the one with navy blue border). I guess the medium itself is somewhat tricky to expose properly. It seems to have a pretty low dynamic range. Your film shots are epic though!

    250. MF? I use a the GF250mm on weddings for bridal portraits - its the king of the hill on a GFX100

    • @KNURKonesur
      @KNURKonesur 3 года назад

      With a GFX you get a much tigther crop, that's some reach you've got there! Gotta be a nice couple of yards from the model though?

    • @nelsonclub7722
      @nelsonclub7722 3 года назад

      @@KNURKonesur Hi there Fuji GFX has 0.79x crop factor so 250 = 197 on 35mm. Min distance from subject = 1.4m - which is excellent for portraits - but as for actual crop I have gone to 200% on the 80mm 1.7 (which is a the best lens they do) but the 110mm is also superb - the other lenses in our wedding kit are the 30 and the 50 (the most used lens as it mirrors 40mm on 35) and we have a cupla X100V set to black and white with proper filters - and a cupla Elinchrom ELB500's with a softbox - a cupla spare batts and cards and thats - it - it is the only thing which actually beats are old Mamiya RZ - and I tried the beast of the best the Hass100C - too slow and far too heavy but a wonderful machine but not useable outside the studio unless you have twelve people on hand!!!! Jane is eyeing up the new GFX100s as it suits her hands - she simply cannot use the GFX100

    • @KNURKonesur
      @KNURKonesur 3 года назад

      @@nelsonclub7722 if you found the Mamiya RZ to be usable for professional scenarios, you could consider a Pentax 67 albeit NOT with the production lenses. Pentax 67 has a big community of lens modifications and you can use some extreme stuff like projection lenses which don't have apertures and you can benefit from the huge image size AND shallow depth of field which you can't do with a Mamiya RB/RZ.

    • @nelsonclub7722
      @nelsonclub7722 3 года назад

      @@KNURKonesur Pentax is a lovely thing but I don''t use film anymore - this was just a nostalgic incursion. I am not even a fan of the film-turned digital cameras like the Phase One 645 and Hasselblad H6D100c - I even had 3 X series Hasselblad cameras but they were hopeless in the real world outside. Sad to say that in my commercial world speed of image appears to be more important which I understand. Truth be told whilst IQ is important - hence the Fujifilm GFX100 - I actually don't like it that much - but it works fairly faultlessly - when someone prepares a proper digital FF solution for the Mamiya RZ and not some rehashed cropped digital back such as the Phase One then I will be in on that as it is a system I can put together with my eyes shut. Luckily film is not dead quite yet.....

    Sorry I can't watch more than 60 seconds of that shaky camera. It makes me feel sick.
    I'm not sure why people think the camera is an RB67... it clearly says RZ67 on the front.
