I just received I’m being evaluated for reassignment to SSA and was told by the receiving manager I must take exam and pass before transferring. I didn’t know it was a training I can take to prepare . How can I access?
I started out as a CCA and ended up as a PSE which I like better. Better fit for me, don’t get me wrong, I liked being a CCA. It’s just better for me as a PSE 😁👍🏻. As far as CCA OR RCA? 🤨🧐 I would choose CCA for myself. RCA you have to use your own car and etc.. 🤷♂️ But everyone has their choices on what they might like 👍🏻. Thanks for watching 😉👍🏻
Congratulations 🎉on your passing. I pray that I pass. I start window 421 exam training on the 23rd. I’ve been getting acquainted with course content. But it is ALOT how the hell can one remember all of this ….. jeez!!!! Letter sizes, dimensions, inches, so many abbreviations….. Jeez 😮. What about calculations is there a lot of math?
Letter sizes and that are on the scale itself. Half the stuff they teach you won’t even be used. Like COD, that is nearly extinct lol 😂 also signature confirmation, special handling, registered and a few others. Math is done on the computer, just hit the buttons you need. Like mail/packages, then what service(priority mail, ground advantage etc…) and so on.
@@savagedick1462 you go where they have the next training classes set up around your area. In my case that was Billings, MT. About 4 hours away. Thanks for watching 😉👍🏻
@@smokinchuck Should I schedule as soon as I am able to schedule for academy week? Even if I haven't done the general "Welcome to USPS" orientation and don't know when that will be? My official hire date is 09/07 and the next Academy class closest to me starts 09/17... I can select my session on LiteBlue. In one area is says "due 10/07/2024" and another it says "No due date".
@@mama_manda.3 congrats on getting hired on. Usually management will schedule your SSA Academy training. I would wait until orientation is done and then inquire about SSA Academy. Every post office is different on its needs for people. Hope this helps.
if you only work at the station for the first 2 years. Than you before you go on the 2 break in service to be carrers and you fail the test and they still keep at a station untill you into your 2 year break service. can they just bring you back as a carrer clerk than become your 2 year mark is up
Your right the study material on you tube is a lot to remember--hard to follow … I’ve been using quizlet …. It’s a lot of info to take in on that site too. But I’m tryin to get acclimated with the terms at least. Regarding in class transactions is it old school cash registers? Or up to date computerized?
I’m in the class now and they haven’t given my class a book to highlight we have to write everything down on a small pad. My wrists hurts so bad I can’t concentrate on learning (smh)
Hi, it was a blast watching your journey throughout USPS. I do have a question, how hard is the labor compared to the CCA position that you've done? Is it similar in physical needs?
For my office yes! But offices are different and easier and harder than some others. I have worked/helped at a handful of other offices. All have different needs. Also depends if you’re doing distribution or working front window counter helping customers. Right now I have been in Ketchum, Idaho for a little over a month now helping out. I have just been doing distributing the DPS mail and flats to the box section there. But this place has over 10,000 PO Boxes lol 😂 Pretty crazy. Been working 12 hour days, 6 days a week. A lot of hours but very nice paychecks lol 💰💰💰💰💰Hope this helps and thank you for watching! 😁👍🏻
If you pay attention in class and do the activities and participate? The test wasn’t bad, some questions were kinda like😬🤔🙄(dang, crap, what was that again?) but then just think through it and us process of elimination. Then other questions yep, yep, because you had reviewed it and covered it so many times in class. It took me about 30-35 minutes to finish my test. Others in my class were done in 15 minutes 🤷♂️. Hope this helps! Thanks for watching 😉👍🏻
Your video was very informative. I appreciate all the info. I will be traveling about an hour to do my training. Do they pay you for time and mileage or just mileage? Also, while you're in class, are you getting paid for those 8 days? It sounds like as long as you pay attention and highlight the important areas, you should pass. Thanks again for the information in your video. It's helped me out a lot
The job description for PTF Sales & Service salary is 26. and change an hour. Is that starting pay or one has to work for a good amount of time to reach that hourly rate?
@@smokinchuck Oh, wow thanks …. I’m kinda stuck if I take the PTF position and don’t pass the test your immediately terminated. If you take the PSE position one will have 6 months to retake the test. Hmm….. maybe I should just stick with PSE to be on the safe side.
