He is like Superman, to hear him interview, and then hear him play, it's like he goes into a phone booth a man, and comes out with shades and a guitar, and... And you know, melts faces. I had heard of this guy but I was unfamiliar with his work until tonight! To say that he's badass is an insult! He's other-worldly awesome! He's up there with the greats! I'm floored!
He is amazing. If you get a chance, go see him in concert. As close as you can get. His drummer (Tal Bergman) is a riot, but he's amazing too!!

Joe Bonamassa has become my 2nd favorite guitarist of all time, just behind the Reverend Billy Gibbons. This dude is amazing and this one of my favorite of his songs. The live version from Royal Albert Hall is especially ass kicking!

well 1st off what is it with SRV that every one thinks he was all that.? Answer me that? he was good sure but I see a stupid pattern of people putting these dead musicians on a pedestal like they are or were some type of God. but yet when they were around they were just another person to listen to. But as soon as they die then they were the greatest??? So get a grip. SRV was ok period. His technical ability was marginal at best. His music helped to cover his faults. Now as for Joe, yep great. Maybe one of the best clean and clear players ever. Cant argue with that. But again yer saying since SRV died know body can or has played any blues..? Ok worthy blues. Blues is about emotion and feeling done right. Stevie had zero but played them well. Joe can play and put the feeling into them but for all out blues done right..? Come on man, there are 50 or more that do it better than Joe does and Stevie ever did. Now wether you like them or not thats up to you but the playing ability is only needed to roll it out. Ill tell something right now Ol'e Jonny Lane is better than both Joe and Stevie for a blues natural. And my pick that has a very good rounded ability.. Mr. Winter is very hard to beat. Thats my .02

At the time before his death there were 10000 Stevie clones out , I'm being conservative. I know I'm a player and ran into them all the time.
