that last bit of information on how to format the SSD was super helpful. I thought I installed the hardware incorrectly at first, then I watched your video. you saved me from unnecessarily taking apart my PC
Your channel is underrated. You need like at least 100k subs with ur silver play button on the wall. You've helped me with the rgb light strips. Infact i bought the same exact light strips.
For those of you looking ng to add some bling to your boring, and exposed, gpu plate and SSDs I strongly suggest getting custom backplates and covers from places like v1tech, jmmods, and others. V1tech has some great DBZ predisgned backplates, but you can use the imaging tool to create your own design. Looks like about a 2-4 week turn around time for your order. 4 during these challenging times. Maybe you could look up three companies that do this and make a roundup review on three different guys. As for the build in this review I strongly suggest having mesh in front of the front intake fans. You should also add outtake fans (1 rear and 1 or 2 at the top if there is ventilation, see owners manual for allowed sizes) that might help with the dust. If you are looking to upgrade the cooling system, kraken or thermaltake liquid cpu cooler 360mm in the front and repurpose the fans in the front panel as your outtake if size permits it. Kraken doesn't have rgb but phanteks rgb hallo rings can easily be added on to any boring stock fans if you are an rgb lover. Should take everything apart including the cpu cooler and air blast it once a month or less depending on how fast dust accumulates. Enjoy!
Thank you for this, I send this video to a friend who was having some problems understanding this stuff and its easier to send a video than to explain over messages.
I just subscribed to your channel. Thank you now I know what I need to do. I've rebuild my pc gamer and didn't have a sata cord for my ssd. My old tower case didn't have lights on front it was solid, so I ordered a new tower case and put all of my motherboard, etc into the new case and the way my lights works it only had one sata cord. Now I know that I need to order me one. Thanks again.
Hell yeah, thanks man. This is my first bit of PC work I've done. I got the SSD installed by myself into the PC and was about to take it apart because it wasn't registering so I thought it was at the hardware level. You got yourself a like and sub. Never seen your channel, but imma be a viewer now.
Really useful video, particularly showing the Win 10 disk setup. Slightly rough production style, but no doubting the usefulness of this video. Thank you for posting it.
thank you for this video! i'm a complete novice at this and i'm looking into upgrading my OS drive, your video is super clear as far as installing the drive! :D cheers!
Building my first pc and looking for a good ssd and wasn't sure if I had to buy the cable separate (I do) and you have the exact case I just bought except not lights on it. Thank you my friend
i unscrewed a few things to see which psu i have, but i had to unplug my ssd. when i put back in my psu i plugged in my ssd again. but when i turned my pc back on both of my ssds on my file have a ? on it. do you know why this is?
Thank you so much! I don’t know a ton about computer stuff, but wanted to upgrade my storage on the PC my boyfriend built me. Your video was super helpful and I was able to install the new drive thanks to this video :D
There was a place to put my SSD on top of my 1 TB hard drive real easy the plugs were right there also.. Cyberpower PC.. I use that for games other for the system I don't care if it loads slow I have it on sleep anyway so boots fast..
@@mattm9396 if its a desktop, just check the motherboards compatibility, and make sure everythings compatible (pc part picker can do that for you, just import your parts and it will tell you) and you can always upgrade any part
Thank you! I just bought the Corsair 5000D and I thought the metal things went on the outside of the HDD and I was like, this shit doesn’t fit and is blocking the ports! I’m usually not this stupid, but thanks for helping when I was.
And here I am plugging my 1TB SSD through the USB plug on the top of my PC, when I should be doing this instead. My computer looking at me like 'Damn you just got broke, stop that' Lmao. Thanks for this tutorial :D
Yo, thanks man. I've been a casual pc gamer for a while but I am absolutely brand new at building my own. Like I'm waiting for the parts to come in the mail type new. I figured it can't hurt to learn something new while this Rona is going on. While I'm waiting, I'm trying to learn as much as I can about what I think I need to know and this video was super helpful as far as installing an ssd. Appreciate your work and you got a new sub. Peace and good health to you and all of yours.
Hope your build went well. I've got two custom pre-builts and, when the older one dies, I'm going to practice by smashing in some cheap parts until I can build my own. Scariest thing I've done so far is take apart a GTX 770 to clean it and reapply thermal paste. Scariest thing I've had *happen to me* is my i7 9700K fault so hard that blue was the only possible colour... it's under warranty so the whole system is going back to be fixed.
After so many years someone who uploaded a new version of this thanks so much man!
