@ dude, they were playing around. the story clearly sets that house as yoojung's house. it's a simple video, you can easily interpret it. kb also said that was evil editing and yoojung just have a sad face, but again, he was joking around. a music video storyline and storyboard are NOT written by the members of a group.

someone already left an explanation for yoojung looking sad at the end of be free (namely his perpetual sad face syndrome 😭) but i personally think junji & rie’s story is the most complicated so i wanna give my interpretation of it, which ofc is just one way to put the pieces together!! rie & junji explained the fight scene in the behind the scenes - basically what was going on was junji told rie that he was at home, but then yoojung texted rie telling him he just saw kb & junji out together. when rie confronted junji about it, he got mad and basically said “let’s end this now” at first i was soooo confused abt it bcs i was like huh? that’s why you’re breaking up? but a commenter on another video commented that in be mine & some scenes of because, it’s clearly summer and they’re wearing shorts, shirts, sometimes no shirts lol. while at the 2nd swimming pool scene (there’s two!) and the breakup scene, they’re both in either long pants or sweaters, perhaps signifying that some time has passed in between. before rie’s mv came out we theorized what could possibly lead them to fight, and back then we guessed it was rie being too scared to be public. since in be mine it was basically all junji initiated & some scenes like the ones with the phone box it seemed like rie wasn’t too pleased to be together in public. and when the kiss scene got cut off, we thought maybe that would be their source of conflict, junji trying to kiss rie in public and rie refusing. that’s not what happened but i think those two pieces can still fit together. my personal interpretation is this- rie may not have rejected the kiss but he’s still scared to be together in public. aside from that cafe scene, the two of them are always alone. out on the street, at the seemingly closed pool, at home & in a protected garden. rie clearly likes junji but he doesn’t dare to be together in public for like … obvious reasons. but that kind of secrecy grates on you & in this case, makes him insecure and jealous. he can’t be out in public with junji, but others like kb can, and he hates that. junji at the same time is mad that they can’t simply be open in public. that kind of tension builds over the time they’re together, until rie once again gets unnecessarily jealous (since kb is probably still dating yoojung) and junji can’t take it anymore, so he breaks it off. rie cries & copes with it more or less successfully; recounting their happy months together. eventually he makes his way to the pool - this is the pool scene where he’s wearing the blue sweater. junji, by coincidence, ends up there too. we don’t see anymore of this scene so we can’t be sure, but i think rie meeting junji there & us seeing their happy memories of the playful times and their underwater kiss + him looking at the camera can be seen as a hopeful sign. maybe he’s worked out his issues about being public by now. anyway that’s just my take, anyone can read into it what they want!!! thank you for the love you’ve shown onlyoneof in this video the group and music means a lot to many people and it’s wonderful to see people react to them

(lyons please correct me if anythings wrong) all three storylines take place in different universes, the only connections are the phonebooths that are supposed to symbolize each persons view of the world (for example, yoojung is inside the booth but the door is open, he is open to invite someone into his life but he isnt gonna be the one to take the first step, hence kb literally falling into the booth) another thing are the paper cranes which are the symbols of loyalty and patience. traditionally people believed that if you fold 1,000 paper cranes you will be given good fortune/your wish will come true. at the end of kbs video theyre at his apartment, kb most likely left to work or maybe to prepare breakfast/take a shower? the ending is happy tho according to them (im pretty sure kb said yoojungs resting face just looks sad even if he isnt, so he wasnt sad at the end) junjis and ries story is a little more confusing. according to the behind the scenes, rie asked junji what he was doing last night and junji said that he was at home, rie then said that apparently yoojung saw junji outside which results in junji getting angry because he thinks rie doesnt trust him and thats where the paper cranes go flying. now when it comes to the ending, how i see it is that some time after the fight rie goes to the pool (the scene where he's wearing a blue sweater) and unexpectedly meets junji who was already swimming there, they go to the place that we see at the end of junjis video (rie is wearing the same blue sweater) and maybe talk things out and junji ends up kissing him? which could mean that they made up. the seoul drift music video connects with the be series, so maybe you should check that out next! sorry for the long comment, i hope this helps you understand everything a bit more :D

Junji/Rie misunderstanding was the level of commitment to the relationship, there are symbols during their individual MVs. Yes, the lighting in the phone booth indicate their internal feelings. Mill’s BEAT - when he’s rapping, it’s his alter ego, his internal self rapping about his feelings (he doesn’t have his glasses on). In Beyond, he becomes himself with Nine and doesn’t wear his glasses. And yes, the bullies are obviously their staff, they filmed on a budget! Not sure if you’re caught up with their covers (the early years); my favorite is Money (no subs). Title track dOra maar (Korean version) is a must!
