Prima volta che ascolto Stefania Bonfadelli, strano ma vero. Grandiosa la sua Lucia cantata con voce un po' scura e note alte disinvolte, come se non fossero di difficile esecuzione, ed una interpretazione da buona attrice. Sempre fantastico Alvarez ed anche Frontali. Ottimo il Raimondo di Palazzi, ruolo purtroppo un po' limitato. Eccellente rappresentazione! 💔🎶💔🙏

Recently I've watched movie The Fifth Element and there was aria from this opera, which I liked, so I'm a big fun of this opera, now. Lucia's performance, so beautiful, I'm listening to the last 45 min. of the opera over and over again.
I like her voice very much. She commands about very brilliant high notes and they sounds round and gleaming. No shrill or screamed notes, that is very pleasing. The cast is very good at all. Thanks for the upload :)

Some interesting cuts restored, like the repetition of Enrico’s cabaletta.
These were the days when Alvarez could really sing well. BTW, I'm singing Edgardo this summer in Sicily!
Me encanta que esta ópera sea presentada en escenarios, con utilería y vestimenta de la época en que se se desarrolla la rebelión jacobita (como en este caso), así la audiencia logra una mejor percepción de los acontecimientos que se desarrollan. Es la mejor Lucía y el mejor Edgardo que he escuchado en mis 67 primaveras

I would give anything to hear a tenor at the very end when he's on his knees dying belt out a prolonged high C. I would die for that. Think how fabulous that would be. I've never seen it. Here's hoping and praying.

Too bad that in this version Lucia commits suicide. Being from a pro-Catholic Jacobite family, suicide prevented her from being buried in a graveyard, which is where she meets Edgar again. She died of love
