Everything else is fine but the two things I hate about the new Duolingo update are ( you have to have hearts to continue your lesson and it's very annoying because you loose your day streak and ask you to pay money for super Duolingo.)( At the end of each session you have to waist a minute of your life to watch an unscipable add at the end.) I prefer the old Duolingo
Really appreciate your videos. I was on a 6 month streak on Super Duo Spanish. I stopped today because of how incredibly frustrating it was without grammar support, no more community comments and also how they unnecessarily complicate sentances that are simple. I'm SO frustrated because I want to keep learning. I would really appreciate your advice on what is a better app/approach...please? Thank you :)
I think duo is good for what it is, I use it for Spanish in combo with other apps and it helps keep me studying on days when I don’t necessarily feel like it, it’s a much more productive use of my time then scrolling through shorts or going on social media and the Spanish course is one of the better ones
The unfortunate thing is for the very few people who want to learn Navaho and Xhosa and maybe one or two others it sucks because DuoLingo is the only widespead option for those. For even Gaellic, Hawaiian and some others there is at LEAST one alternative. Heck the Gaellic and Hawaii option may be free even, it is that Mango Languages and it can be free under a library or a student account under a university.
Yeah it can be tough to find resources for languages like that for sure. Have you tried uTalk? It's not as pretty but it covers more languages than pretty much any app. Their whole thing is teaching languages like that. Here's the list of languages: multilingualmastery.com/utalk-review/
I HATE the Hanzi addition. Also, I cannot remove a language or start over. I delete it, remove app, remove cookies, etc. But when I add back the app, it just starts over right where I left off.
Good video, thanks. Do you have a video where you talk about the languages you've learned and your level in them? I personally find it very motivating when i see polyglots in the learning phase and realize they have to struggle too. Steve Kaufman is good at that.
Here's alternatives if you miss the old Duolingo! ruclips.net/video/6OWBpwQoGcU/видео.html
Talkin' smack while the bird is standing right behind you, very bold 🤣

I was almost finished with Section 4 (Champion) in Russian. They literally just removed it. So this is how I finished Duolingo... Very anti-climactic.

I'm not a polyglot. I do talk a lot about my struggles and how I've conquered them - try my Mindsets playlist :)
carefull what u are saying, duolingo is right behind you!!!
