My twin sister and I were just at the Dollar Tree yesterday. I looked at those wreath things and I was trying to think how to use them- then I see this video! Perfect!! We LOVE LOVE LOVE feeding the birds and have a ton. Thanks for these ideas that you share!
I am going to make the last one. Thank you, love it. I have a broken hanging pot, and I will use the hanger off of that instead. Same concept, just recycling. 😊
I love your bird feeders! You come up with some amazing ideas! I have made 3 feeders, but I like yours better. I wish I could hang mine out like you do, but I have too many squirrels. My husband has made me two feeding stations, and we used cheap bathroom size trash cans as baffles and they work better than the store bought baffles that we put on my other three feeder stations. We painted the trash cans to match the feeder stations that he made, which we painted black. He is in the process of making me one more, and I him that would make six, and that is plenty 🤣😂🤣😂. Thank you for sharing your awesome ideas! ❤😊
@jwater63 - I use tulle that Robbie suggested in one of her older videos and its been 5 years and not one squirrel has got to my feeders since. Bless Robbie for coming up with great ideas
Perfect timing! I was just getting ready to hit up DT for bird feeder supplies. I love all of these! I made one similar to the red bowl/wreath last summer. Instead of the wreath, I used the black hanging wire basket which comes with the chain. The DT clear plastic succulent dishes sit inside the wire basket perfectly. I bought 2 clear dishes so I could easily swap them out for cleaning. That's the advantage to your red bowl one as well, especially when they come in a 3 pack! My birds have had no issues using it without a perch. Even the Mourning Doves can access it. Squirrels have no issues either, LOL.. I love the one with the compartments too. Just this afternoon I was thinking about making a compartmentalized feeder for my deck rail so I can offer a different feed in each compartment. Now I know what I'll use. Thanks for the great ideas!!
You know how awesome the idea of second breakfast is? This whole second winter thing is way, WAY down at the other end of that scale. 20 degrees, 20 mph wind with 30 mph gusts. Pffft. But OOOOH what glory it will be when it's over! Something to look forward to!
A wonderful idea unless you have squirrels in your area, they will tear those things apart, and even if they don't they will eat all the food no matter where you hang it from, unless you have nowhere to jump from, no trees no buildings nothing. In my case, I had to use an 8-in PVC pipe, 8 ft tall, to keep the little boogers off my feeders. It's funny watching them try to jump on the PVC and then slide down😅 That PVC pipe has saved me hundreds of dollars if not thousands over the last few years
I am so glad to find this and will make one feeder and one water out of wreath rings. Adding a clear 'punch bowl' - upside down over feed/water (also at $tore) helps to keep squirrels out.
Really nice. The birds will flip out. I’ll use your ideas, think I’ll heavy up the plastic with gorilla duct tape especially where the holes for the chains go. Buy a handful of these items. Make for an older neighbor and a relative .
In some yards, they would make hanging birdbathsor water bowls. I have wanted to do this but it took your creativity to put it together. I don't really want to attract birds because I have a few cats I let go out int he back yard on days I 'm home. My neighbor feeds birds. But I notice squirrels and birds still come to a few bowls I have for water for the cats in the yard. I rarely see any interest in the birds because my cats are well fed, getting old and lazy anyway.
Have fun! I even went yesterday again to Dollar Tree and picked up another set of wire frame wreaths, to make a couple more, since I still had some bowls left 😊
Great thank you, you all have fun making birdfeeders! I even picked up another set of wreath fames today from dollar tree, and I did not need any more bowls 😊
Those feeders are so cool. I had no idea that the birds could eat wet seed. I thought once the seed got wet I had to toss it out. Thanks for sharing the info and the feeder projects. I will be making some feeders for the birds this year. 🐦❤
Well, I’m glad you know that now. Birds don’t mind the seed wet, just don’t leave it for days where it starts to go bad. Usually they eat it long before it does.
We have a balcony where we live now, so this spring I'm going to get some planters and seeds so the kids can plant some cucumbers, tomatoes, that sort of thing, and we're putting up bird feeders. This is a perfect little craft for the kids to do themselves (aside from the soldering gun, ofc). Thank you for sharing this! We're going to put it to use real soon.
Robbie, do you have any idea how many of us “novices” love you and your projects?! And I can only wonder how many birds are saved AND have a happy life because of you two?❤ Bless you, Mary.
We are old gardeners. Mom is 97 and I’m 81. We are going to do the tote method on our large deck, this will let mom garden and her back will be ok. Thanks so much for all of you’re wonderful ideas and tricks. Wish us luck here in Vancouver, WA
I do, I was doing that today with the hummingbirds so their feeders are all out of the rain that’s coming again a big storm. Let me see what I can get together. Thanks.❤
I just stumbled on your videos, such great ideas! We’ve been having cold icy weather here in Oregon and now your feeder creations have me dreaming of spring. I can’t wait to make a trip to the dollar tree, you’ve inspired me to be creative.🤗 Your garden is amazing too. 💚
Love it! Now then, question: Squirrels! I feed squirrels but they do the mission impossible heist of seed every day. I love squirrels, love watching them too, but they get more bird seed than the birds if I let them!
Love love LOVE all your Dollar Tree garden ideas. I'll be making these feeders for sure! We're in FL... I've yet to find a way to keep squirrels out of my feeders! I've even bought squirrel proof...yeah right! lol They laugh at them while they dig in. I'd like at least 1 exclusive for the birds. Any design suggestions in your vast repertoire?
Hi Robbie! I am a new subscriber, I love hummingbirds, and you have given me great inspiration. My question is: I live in a townhouse with a balcony, but I like to a fountain for them in a small space. Any suggestions? Can it be short or tall? I have two feeders on my balcony right now. Your help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you ❤
The sun doesn’t seem to bother Birdbaths. Many of mine are in the sun and the birds love them. But watch my new video on how to block the sun that’s coming out hopefully today. Thank you and welcome ❤
Robbie, you have inspired me to get back to gardening. Thank you! In your video of 4 days ago, you're showing the weather damage-what is the yellow blooming plant the bees are feeding on?
Well, in the tray, you just dump it out and rinse it when needed, the seed sprouting on the ground I let it grow, and it turns into more birdseed, and then the spice finches come and eat that
We do have squirrels, but they use the bowl that sits on a tree stump on the ground. It must be easier; we have opossums, but they never bother the feeders.
I love your ideas. You always got something to help a gardener with their plants and flowers.Thank you
Thanks so much 😊

Wonderful! Great thinking!!! ❤
Woo hoo, bird feeders. I'm 1st. I Love the 3rd one.
Me too! And the birds love them 😊

Great idea gor baffles! Thank you.

Fun project for my 3yr old grandson!
How fun your grandson is going to have a blast ❤❤❤❤❤
So clever! Love your creativity.🎉
Thank you! 😊
You are a genius 👏 these feeders are so cute❣️ So easy to make them! And you can keep the cats away! Excellent 👏💡🌟 Thank you again Robbie 💞
Thank you! 😊❤❤❤❤
I was just looking at those wreath frames in the store the other day, wondering what I could do with them. You are awesome!
Thank you! 😊❤
Love that pretty plant to the right of your red feeder.
Thank you! 😊

All sounds great. Wonderful, sorry about the squirrel, today my squirrels were on the bottom bowls on the ground they’re lazy. Thanks so much 😊
This is such a great idea, you're so creative and you always think outside the box!!!
Thank you so much! 😊❤
Robbie, your craft ideas are so awesome. Thank you. 😊
Thanks so much 😊
Thank you for sharing with us. Blessings

Wow, you are so smart 🤓 I wouldn't have ever thought of that. Thank you for sharing this with us.
You are so welcome, thank you ❤😊

Like you, it’s cool, but I’m looking forward to all this being over too. Thank you so much.
Robbie, these are terrific and so easy!! Thanks for your excellent tips and I love the price!
You are so welcome! You can’t beat the price, that is fantastic and then you make it to the way you like it, thanks so much. Have a great week. ❤

I Love all your ideas, can’t wait to make more of these for our birds, Ty Robbie, you rock 🥰

I am so glad to find this and will make one feeder and one water out of wreath rings. Adding a clear 'punch bowl' - upside down over feed/water (also at $tore) helps to keep squirrels out.
I watch everyday to see what idea of yours I can apply to my garden. Thank you.

I thank for all cheerful ideas 😅😊
My pleasure 😊❤❤
This diy is so clever and cute my favorite feeder was the wreath and bowl
I love that one too, and you get 2 for the price of one ❤😊💕

I will be making a birdbath out of some of these too 😊

This is wonderful. Any feeder under $3 and I am on.. Bring it on Robbie!!
This is the information I've been waiting for , thank you !!!!
You are so welcome! 😊
Love the last one in particular, will be hitting dollar tree next week for sure! 🕊️
Have fun! I even went yesterday again to Dollar Tree and picked up another set of wire frame wreaths, to make a couple more, since I still had some bowls left 😊
You are SO clever! I'm sharing these ideas with a friend in Northern CA who puts out multiple bird feeders.
Great thank you, you all have fun making birdfeeders! I even picked up another set of wreath fames today from dollar tree, and I did not need any more bowls 😊
Awesome idea!
Thank you for sharing this video~🤗
Thank you! Cheers!
AWESOME ROBBIE. I PRAY MARK IS WELL. LOVE YOU ROBBIE. ❤
Me too ❤

If it's just wet not left too long for mold to grow
Well, I’m glad you know that now. Birds don’t mind the seed wet, just don’t leave it for days where it starts to go bad. Usually they eat it long before it does.
Love these ideas! Thank you so much for taking the time to share this!!

Mary, Oh how This touches my heart ❤️ Thank you very very Much 💕
Thank you so much for these wonderful pictures projects I will try all of them.❤❤❤
I love your bird retreat so much! I bought several of each last night after work and will get them all hung up this weekend . My birds will love it!
Have fun! The birds love it ❤ Thanks
Wow your ideas are very cheap and best… thanks for wonderful video❤
Can you add a seed catcher underneath to keep mice and rats out of yard. GREAT IDEA!
Oh Yes! Thank you!
Great practical ideas. Thank you kindly!! 😊
I love this idea!! Thanks for sharing! Have a great weekend!
You are so welcome! ❤

Wonderful! WE wish you ALL the LUCK in the WORLD, how wonderful, and what FUN it will be! Love you BOTH!
Silly question Robbie, but do you have an "umbrella" hack for over the food? I'd like to do something like that for my hummingbirds.
I do, I was doing that today with the hummingbirds so their feeders are all out of the rain that’s coming again a big storm. Let me see what I can get together. Thanks.❤
How ez are these❤❤❤ Thank you. I wish you had included a link for the seed you get. That would be appreciated.
It’s just basically any seed you can get at the pet store, a parakeet mix and sunflower seed, and if you want some finch mix
THIS WAS THE BEST IDEAS ... I've NEVER had so many birds 🐦
Thank you
Wonderful ❤️ More ideas coming 😊 Thank You
Thanks for your good ideas.
Thank you 😊

Thank you for the great ideas! I am going to make them.
Have fun! Thank you 😊
Love these ideas might use the wreath one for a bird bath it's been so hot
Love it! Now then, question: Squirrels! I feed squirrels but they do the mission impossible heist of seed every day. I love squirrels, love watching them too, but they get more bird seed than the birds if I let them!
I have a feeder on the ground on a tree stump and they use that one instead of the ones that are up and swinging

Walmart has some sturdier plastic plates in house wares that are 0 each and like I said they are made for everyday use
Perfect 😊
You could make one just for water too. : )
🤩😍🥰
Thank you!
Hi Robbie! I am a new subscriber, I love hummingbirds, and you have given me great inspiration. My question is: I live in a townhouse with a balcony, but I like to a fountain for them in a small space. Any suggestions? Can it be short or tall? I have two feeders on my balcony right now. Just found your channel. Absolutely love it . On the birdbaths in the sun does the water get too hot
Sow thistle 😊
Thank you 😊
I love birds! Any issues with squirrel s?
I love those feeders but how do u keep the squirrels away? I have many in my yard & they eat most of the food, just aggravating.
Hear my squirrels use only the bowl on the bottom they’re too lazy to bother with the swinging ones
I was wondering if jute twine would last for hanging them up,....
I love this idea. But no squirrels where you live? They would be as quick to find the feeders as the birds around here and empty them all.
Ha ha…the label bothered me and then you took it off. The wreath one is perfect!
I knew it, LOL 😊❤
Hi there. I've got squirrels, grackels, sparrows, blue jays, and starlings. Will these discourage those types of birds and animals?
Great feeders! Do you have any squirrels by you to take over the feeders or any large birds to steal all the seed?
Yes we do, I have a bowl on a tree stump and they use that one instead of the swinging ones because it’s easier
@@RobbieAndGaryGardeningEasy .....Great idea! Glad it is working!
Can the squirrels chew the wire cage?
What do you do about all the sprouts under all of the bird feeders?
Well, in the tray, you just dump it out and rinse it when needed, the seed sprouting on the ground I let it grow, and it turns into more birdseed, and then the spice finches come and eat that
Or mice and rats had that problem too I made a seed catcher for underneath but I need to redo it
1- can u not use the soldering gun to melt thru melamine?
2- they don’t have basket chain with four hooks?
Do birds need water?
I have a question do you have a problem with squirrels getting to your birdfeeders? And if you do, how do you keep them out or away?
My squirrels are lazy. They only use the bottom bowls on the ground.
Where can I buy the chains.I am in United Kingdom.
I was told by someone online that birds don't like red
How do you keep the squirrels out
I have one bowl on the bottom and they only feed out in that one right now, they have not tried to get into the swinging ones
Put a rock in there to weigh it down so it doesn't swing so much.
How do you keep squirrels away from them
I can’t stop the squirrels, but I have a bowl and a tree stump underneath and they use that one only, it’s easier for them 😊
Will squirrels invade the feeders?
Won’t your birdseed fall out the holes in the bottom?
Do you have problems with squirrels, racoons or opossums? They deplete and destroy mine.
We do have squirrels, but they use the bowl that sits on a tree stump on the ground. It must be easier; we have opossums, but they never bother the feeders.
I need something to keep cats out of bird feeder.
A birdcage with wide wires where the birds can get in but the cat can’t
I love this but the squirrels will kill it
I made one and two hours later birds were eating from it. It was "just that easy" 😊
Thank you so much for this. 🫶🏻🫶🏻🩷
You're so welcome! ❤️😊
