A Multinode Quantum Network explained

- The QuTech research group of Ronald Hanson, has built and demonstrated the first entanglement-based network connecting multiple quantum processors! This quantum network is composed of three independent nodes, called Alice, Bob and Charlie, based on diamond 💎 nitrogen-vacancy centres. The researchers achieved proof-of-principle demonstration of two key quantum network protocols: genuine multipartite entanglement distribution across all the nodes and any-to-any connectivity via entanglement swapping: Alice and Charlie are connected via quantum entanglement even without a direct physical link. This capability will be fundamental to build the future quantum internet ‼️

Incredible where we are in technology, 2021 is so 2021, it’s strange how on cue all of this showed up
So if I understand this correctly : Quantum internet will be more secure, because of the direct connection. So there will be a single "router" enough to handle everything because the client and host can establish a connection without physical connection in a quantum level. That's actually cool and fine but what I dont really understand is how this connection can be established.
Shortest answer is probably to "Read more about quantum computers and physics"
Great question, I guess, it would be required that the two particles are entangled previously (and sent to the client or so) in other to keep its entanglement from the distance
@@javierpacareu This would require an entangled pair pool resource that the router could assign to an active connection when the connection is requested, then returned to the pool at the end of the transmission.
Could this be used on space ships for instantaneous communication?
So while Alice is married with Bob, Bob and Charlie have secret meetings through the back door...yuck
