They basically updated old molds and corrected known issues. They made all the joints pinless, made sure the butterfly joints had more range and were made smoother. I also prefer the new shoulder covers compared with previous versions. Also, his claws are staying straight and aren’t going crazy crooked at the slightest touch. Them using the original covers on the backs of his hands where his claws emerge from is an aesthetic that some like and others don’t. As a fan of Wolverine for so long, I had to get used to them changing where his claws emerged in the first live action movie, so this doesn’t bother me at all.
Something that always bugged me with the “card throwing” hand is that it doesn’t make sense. What do I mean? Look at the swoop effect that represents his arm’s motion. What direction is it alluding to?? My assumption has always been his hand came from the “thin” part towards the thicker edge. But if that was the case, he would have thrown the cards in the opposite order than it is. Note that the first card thrown will have flown furthest and the last card thrown traveled the shortest distance, which allows one to logically figure out the direction his hand was moving. According to the order he’s thrown them, his arm is going from thick edge to thin edge, which doesn’t match with the comics when they show him throwing cards. I know, nitpicking, but its something that once I noticed it, it is GLARINGLY obvious every time I look at it. Plus, it’s something that could have easily been fixed, especially since this wave was full of “little fixes” all over the rest of this line.
I think Gambit would have benefited from a complete overhaul. I think he would be MUCH better with the “renew your vows” Spider-Man style body/joints. The coat is fine. I feel that double elbows would have been better.
Cool collection. 👍🏾 I have that new Magen Magneto too. But I like the old one because what I’ve done is replaced the head for that one with the Onslought head. It truly elevates the old figure.
Bro, I am hoping, and I am pretty sure that they will because they are getting ready for the actual cartoon to come out. And I need another Cyclops due to the fact that mine has missing paint.
