Ritchie is and always will be a guitar God and legend. He is up there with Jimmy Page Eric Clapton David Gilmour and Tony Iommi and all the greats of the 70's..and even in the 80's with Rainbow..he may have lost a step at age 71 but i can never forget his time with Deep Purple..one of my favorite bands of all time God Bless Ritchie..he is Greatness! One of the most underrated guitarists of all time! an enigma and a genius!

I’ve only been a fan for 40 years
As a 12 year old , my Dad came to pick me up
It was a gorgeous early Spring/Summer day
He had a powder blue 450SL with the roof down
I remember him saying, I’ve got some music playing on the tape deck can we listen as we drive? I hope you’ll like it
The track was this one and the album Machine Head
    Blew me away
    Still does
    Always will
    Time respects no one
Sooner or later memories are all we’ll have
    But oh my, what memories

Our beloved old super bands are fantastic. However, it is also a fact that in recent years, measured by the TOP 50 hit lists of the largest music markets in the world, no human musicians were involved in more than 80% of the songs / hit recordings. And the computer-generated sound is still on the rise. So let's all support young musicians who make handmade music. Only if we buy their records, DVDs and merch do we enable the young bands and musicians to turn their passion into a profession and also to be able to make a living from it. The ROCK N ROLL is crying out for help folks...🤘🎸🎹🎷🎤🎺🥁🤘.

Ritchie and the band were great, as usual, but that singer really nailed it. Having a good, strong singer who can pull it off live always helps a band to play at their best. This performance was a good example of that!

Ronnie James Dio is a better vocalist than Ian. Ian never sang properly and ended up losing his voice occasionally. Ian screamed as much as he sang. Screaming is not singing. I could name many great lead vocalists that were better than Ian in their prime: Freddie Mercury, Robert plant, Sting, daltery, Steve Tyler,

So happy to see one of the originators, Mr. Ritchie Blackmore still rocking out! In my opinion the solo to Highway Star is one of those iconic solos that shouldn’t be tampered with, and I wish Ritchie played the solo the same way it is on the original recording , but it still sounds great! Rock on 🤘🏻
