"The Cryptographer" is Pomegranate Tiger's latest, newest, heaviest and arguably most rhythmically technical offering the project has ever released. Martin really wanted to lean into composing the music for this piece with a focus on the dance of rhythmic synchronization and syncopation around the drums & guitar. This frantic sonic motion between instrumentals embodies the spirit of simulating that same frantic pace of technological innovation the last 10 years has brought us with Artificial Intelligence. The music, the story, the visuals, the AI, The twist and turns this piece takes you on, is just 1 flavour and 1 offering - of what the new evolved, larger and more ferocious beast Pomegranate Tiger has become.
“The Cryptographer” is a unique audio/visual online art experience that aims to bring attention to and enflame the conversations surrounding the explosive growth, rapid advancement and unknown fears of current digital technologies like AI, DNA sequencing, Robotics, and Blockchain.
The artwork and entire visual design was entirely designed and created by an A.I. system depicting a futuristic world in which the most powerful A.I. and the smartest living humans must merge together to save humanity and avoid a total and complete civilizational collapse.
The art in this video has roughly 10,000 uniquely highy detailed individual A.I. generated art frames where each frame took approx 20 min to “draw”. That equates to a total of ~5 months w/ the A.I. working 24 hour days to complete all the art generated in this video. This work was all a result of "good prompts" which was originally distilled from an extra ~40,000 uniquely generated "bad prompts" art frames which never made the cut. The remaining "good prompts" were further reduced down and edited to a total of ~4 minutes run time to accompany the music for “The Cryptographer”.

I remember hearing Sign of Ruin in a video game trade shop back in 2013 and I pretty much instantly fell in love with your stuff. Entities is possibly the most undiscovered and underrated progressive metal album ever - it's pure inspiration front to back - brutal, technical, beautiful, original, imaginative, daring. I'm so happy you guys are back with material. This track is incredible and I really hope you guys finally get the credit you deserve!

Best part of complex prog metal: when you memorize it. It just transforms into this whole new creation of astonishingly masterful composition.
Memorizing both albums of UneXpect, lyrics included, is imho, one of my greatest achievements XD And it freed my mind from alot if mental chains too. Their lyrics are very empowering.
Fantastic band if you've never heard of them. Major bummer that they no longer are together as a full band.
If you haven't heard of them, here's a few good ones; "Unsolved Ideas of a Distorted Guest", "Words" "Quantum Symphony", "Chromatic Chimera's" and "Feasting Fools".
Although, all of it is very good and both albums are worthy of your time, if you find that it's your cup if tea. Like much of this stuff, not everyone likes everything.

@@tulpasconstructor2711 UneXpect is incredible. Saw them on my 18th birthday in Rimouski some 12 years ago. I also tried to memorize the lyrics as much as I could before the show so that I could sing along. Probably the most hyped I've ever been going to a show. Bought a tooon of merch, sadly nothing fits anymore ahha! They were going to release their latest and final album at that time, they told me it would be more structured than In a Flesh. That's a fair statement, it was indeed less chaotic. They're both good albums.

I once listened to Necrophagist from that perspective in my early 20's, powerful, powerful sounds. The guitar sweeps felt like they were going through me like spears or something XD that's all I could picture.
Not painful or freaky at all, just very strange and intriguing audio-visual reactions from the sounds.
Although in all honesty it would probably take a sound mind or a metal head through and through to enjoy that sort of music in that state of mind. Hahaha

I fear the truth is these are the land into which fools rush and angels fear to tread. Some of it will be innocuous, perhaps most, but if we rush and the it is the wrong unforeseen problem arises we could be really hurt, and not just the explorer but those who never asked to take these risk.
