I was in Fern Creek high school Marine Corp Junior reserve Officer training Corps for four years, and I graduated in 1985. I was in the coed squad and platoon as the only female with the m14. During my sophomore year they started the coed squad and platoon where the Requirement was to have at least one female. Our structure decided to enter a squad and platoon with a female to increase our chances of winning the overall trophy. Those were the best years of my life. After that I spent 26 years in the army as an officer. During my time at Fern Creek high school we started silent drill team based on the Marine Corps silent and drill team at 8th & I.
Great way to keep it going. You guys were great when I was in High School in the 80s. Still going strong.
