Wonderful transformation. It was cool to see how the nicotine stains just faded away by using the denture tablets. That doll is a beauty now. 💕 I must add, I’m glad you talk in your videos and explain what you’re doing. You have a good sense of humour too:)

She turned out simply gorgeous! I used your denture tablet soak on a vintage Barbie who's leg were so stained that nothing I tried got them clean. But the denture tablet soak WORKED! Thank you so much for sharing your special talents.

Also have you seen the new Disney ILY 4EVER doll line? I really like the face paint and inset eyes. The Disney artist, Steve Thompson designed them. I think this gives them an animated, life-like quality. Would love to hear your thoughts.

I usually soak the hair specially vintage hair with boiling hot water and fabric softener for a day. and that’ll made the hair softer. 😊👍💕
Yes, I totally stand behind this. I do this with most of the coarse haired Barbies and it definitely helps!

The UV lamp cures the UV gel turning it solid :)

When you use acetone, do you have to rinse it off right away? I’ve read that it can cause problems on the skin otherwise.

I personally don't need to rinse it off as I always apply it with a q-tip.
If you mean on the vinyl however, I've never had problems with it, as it evaporates almost immediately ☺️

Almost unsubscribed because I thought you disappeared. I have that doll. I gave her front eyes. I have just recently tried the sanding. I'm not yet at your level of restoring, but I love it. A product that has worked great for me on all the hair types is Advanced Clinicals retinol moisturizer.
Though I'm looking at this on a small screen, the acrylic filling looks almost new. Pretty amazing restoration!!!!! I think Misty looks happier 😃
And a question... Have you done any dolls where the head had faded but body has not? How do you recolor the face ? How do you get the color to match ?

It's pretty common for certain types of squishy vinyl to lose color, I know it happens a lot with Mod era Barbies.
I know Inks and ink markers work well, or even Ryt dye for synthetics, it all really depends on what doll you have though.
Just found your channel and love it!! Are you still planning to make your own doll line? That sounds incredible, I'd love to see what a doll designed by you from scratch would look like!

Hi, I just purchased my first silkstone Barbie and yeah, she will need a lot of care. I would like to ask, when you give the doll's head a week bath, do you change the water and add new denture desinfection tablets? Greetings from Czech republic 👋
Hi! I usually wait 24 hours until the water turns clear, then add a few more tablets and repeat until I'm satisfied :)

Thanks! I'm not too sure. If it's stained then benzoyl peroxide acne cream, sunlight and a lot of patience

My dolls will be 1/6 or around 11.5". Lots of research went behind engineering them and they'll be a mixture of vintage with modern elements, can't wait to show everyone!!! (I have shown some sneak peeks on my Instagram already 👀)

Yess! I used to keep dolls on shelves and smoke inside all the time as a teen and and now that I'm older and more anal about collecting I'm noticing all of them have already yellowed, it's really sad 😬
