    Could you please help me in choosing my next ride?
    Which of the following should I choose Dominar 250 or Classic 350?
    Needs:
    1. Less maintenance.
    2. Better Fuel Efficiency.
    3. More reliable, would like to keep it for years.
    4. Comfortable for one side sitting lady as pillion.
    5. Can accommodate my son over tank for short spin.
    Thanks buddy.

    Anyway being a hard core long rider on my Bajaj Avenfer 220 DTSI over past 5 plus years, my 1st preference would be Domi 400 for anything that matters...planning to upgrade!🙂

      Thank you Senorider. I believe that they've very smartly positioned the 250 as a stepping stone to the 400 so newer riders will be more willing to swing a leg over the 250 and then upgrade.I personally feel lilke they've created a segment of their own with the dominar and should stick with it instead of trying to compete with cruisers.

I come from RE classic 350 background, now that I have sold it already and looking out for a new motorcycle. I go on for touring atleast covering 1500-2000km range once in a year and some bfast rides as well, which is the best fit?? Is it Dominar 400 or Dominar 250?? Or do you feel, instead of investing on 250, I can buy NS200 and save money? Please help me with your opinion.

  • @AkasaRC390
    @AkasaRC390 4 года назад +1

    Amazing detailed video! Term "Shakira dance" was killer... But not really sure why people opt for 250cc rather than a 400cc which is value for money paid. Be it KTM of Bajaj, what do you say?

    • @OggyF
      @OggyF 4 года назад +1

      Begginers would probably choose to buy the 250 first nd then upgrade. The dominar 400 also could be a good beginner motorcycle because of the way the power is delivered but the 390s would probably not be so beginner friendly. At the end of the day it comes down to the rider. I know people who bought street triples as their first motorcycle and still lived to tell the tale. It is great though that features like ABS, USD forks and what not are being offered in the 250cc segment too. Great VFM overall.

    • @AkasaRC390
      @AkasaRC390 4 года назад

      @@OggyF Agreed!! But if compared in terms of pricing, preferences may vary. Considering most of our Indian crowd and myself, we tend keep our vehicles for longer rather than an upgrade. And overall cost vs power delivered by a vehicle may shift the preference to higher cc, just for some extra bhp. If someone is upgrading from a 100cc it's ok to go for 250cc; but anyone with 200cc should differently go for 400s.

      The frame and suspension allow the motorcycle to hold it's line pretty well in the corners.It's not very nimble getting into corners but once you're in it, it hold it's line well. The tyres though don't help much and they don't inspire confidence. Good thing is that the tyres ae replaceable so you can always change that later.

      From the 3 you mentioned, I'd personally pick the Svartpilen. The dominar would be a good buy if you were looking to tour a bit over the weekend too but since you're mainly looking at office commutes, the Svart is both comfortable and produces enough power to plant a smile on your face when you overtake. Maintainence is cheap too thanks to Bajaj and Ktm. Other motorcycle to consider - Xpulse,Duke 250,CB300R

    SIR i bought Dominar 250 recently for both city ride as well as for highway (and it does feels slippery at corners and wet roads) does changing the rear tyre to 130/70-17 h62 Michelin radial(or i wanna go bigger tyre) will increase the cornering grip and road stability or please suggest me for any tip for my new bike sir thank you sir

    • @OggyF
      @OggyF 3 года назад +1

      Increasing the Tyre width won't always necessarily increase the grip. I'd suggest keeping the stock setup but making sure that your Tyre pressure is as per the recommended psi. What that does is it ensures that the tread can dissipate water easily and you have more contact with the road surface. Long term, pick a better set of tyres like the alpha h1 that I'm using or Michelin pilot road 5s that come with the apache RR310. Also make sure that your rear preload is set properly. If it's stiff, it won't absorb a lot of bumps and that reduces the contact the rear wheel makes with the road.
