The Auto-9, RoboCop's signature gun, is just amazing in the recent Rogue City game. There's something so satisfying about watching this pistol turn the thugs of Old Detroit into red mist
For those that are confused about tf2s smart pistol from the end of the campaign: The titans “head” (for lack of a better term) is composed of 2 parts: the AI core that gives it life and personality, and the casing it comes in. Inside the casing is a survival kit for the pilot in case the titan is permanently disabled behind enemy lines. When you remove the AI core from the head, the casing opens so you can grab the items from the survival kit, the core and pistol being among them. This model of titan is standardized among the good guys, meaning that the body is expendable; the items in the case are dedicated to help the pilot escape to safety and call in a replacement body, so they can slot the core inside and get *their* titan back.
I wouldn't say Moonlight is anywhere "absurdly shocking". It's a decent, but there are a lot more impressive weapons: NGI-006 - a tactical nuke for a missile, WLT 101 - its charge attack is as anime mecha move as it gets, with damage to match. Out of non-coral weapons, I'd go for Pilebunker - its so metal: eviscerating target with huge steel spike for massive damage, - and all 3 just put a smile on your face every time they connect.

Yea it's damage rating is high, but that's only because it assumes all the nukes detonate in the same place at the same time, which they don't. Also using it on BoS Paladins is probably not the place to show off how good it can be. Blast that shit into a pile of ghouls or raiders though, then it's pretty devastating. But the big end-game dudes in Power Armor = not so much :P
The thing about health in assassins creed is that it’s a measure of how close you are to what actually happened. This means that connonicly none of the assassins took a hit outside of cutscene. This also implies that Edmond is the only one to actually use the apple.

Explaining shotguns op’ness (heh) is pretty easy when you consider with OO BUCK you’re getting hit with multiple 38 specials at once basically. 8 per trigger pull using 2 3/4 inch and 18 for 3 1/2 inch. The FEAR shotgun id guess would be 3 1/2, so you’re basically hitting them with 16 pistol rounds at once. Quite devastating
The titan fall 2 campaign is one of my favorites. I want original action stories like that, it was reminiscent of the feeling I got fron the MW2 campaign. The time travel reminded me of the dishonored timetraveling, my favorite implementation in a game. Unique stories is why I liked the ghost campaign. I don't even play shooter games anymore but I want these interesting somewhat unique campaigns.
I felt the same way in Deadrising. I think I was 13 or 14 when it came out and I remember being in the hardware store playing with the excavator and the shower head and just thinking “this is just too much gore.” And I legit felt queasy and didn’t pick that game back up again for years.
Erm… not mentioning the M-920 Cain from Mass Effect 2? That thing is an absolute beast of a weapon! Although it’s technically not a nuke gun, it still creates the signature mushroom cloud upon impact. The absurd amount of damage caused by the Cain is insane, and any enemies that are caught in its blast can say bye-bye! Although it can only be used in a particularly tough battle due to its limited ammunition, Commander Shepard has never kicked ass in a such satisfying, badass way!
Best actual fallout gun I ever got, legit, was a two-shot legendary Gauss Rifle. SO GOOD, it can one-shot damn near anything in the game. I've remade it every game thereafter. Second in line, same thing, full auto combat shotgun that you never have to reload.
Friggin RAGE nailgun with the Railgun is better then some of these weapons. A proper shot that atomizes targets through walls and has a heat scope so you can line them up. So powerful and worth the money.
Actually come to think about it..... Jak 3 had had a ton of insane weapons...... From the anti-gravity mod for the peace maker to the heat seeker mod for the chain gun(each shot fires 3 heat seeking rounds) to the reflector-beam mod for the blaster.... The gyro blaster shot a floating disk that showers an area in bullets as it floats down a given path
The silenced pistol from mass effect 2. It would drop the biggest enemies in 1 clip with the weaker enemies taking only 1 or 2. Once I had that, I didn't use much other than I think the m37 falcon, I think. The one that shot mini grenades but cryo ammo maxed out froze most instantly. All the ammo had op effects maxed out. Was really just preference
Feel like you need to show off the Chainsword/Thunder Maul from Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine with your #1 pick. Those melee weapons are insane in comparison.
I remember playing fallout and I had downloaded mods that let me turn the nuke launched to a fully auto mirv. I'm gonna repeat that again. A. FULLY. AUTO. MIRV. I kid you not, the first time I tried to fire it, my screen went white and stayed white for about 20 minutes. When the color started coming back, the game force closed. Same thing happened every single time I tried to use that gun no matter how I tried to tweak my settings. It was great.

Ahh yess my favorite Yakuza protagonist "Kazura"
11:41 the drilling sound of the cerebral bore lives rent free in my mind til this day
Great choices, but I think Doom's BFG needs a mention, especially considering what the acronym stands for.
I'm kinda surprised none of the Ratchet and Clank weapons didn't make it on the list.
Fallout 3 had the fatboy that launches 12 mini nukes. Fallout 4 just reused it. Fo3 deserves the credit
The cerebral bore was ridiculous in multiplayer. The moment it got mentioned, I could hear that sound in my head.
If they did a next gen re-release of titanfall 2 i would buy it
👍🏼
Thanks for the Cerebral Bore reminder. I loved playing with that weapon.
Gjallarhorn was a shocking weapon, considering how it never dropped for me in Destiny 1
Running round with the lancer was so satisfying when it actually worked. Best thing about gears
The drilling sound from Turok's Cerebral Bore unlocked a memory for me. XD
You didn't forget FEAR's shotgun. Falcon, you never let us down! 👊🏻
Yea.. fear shotgun... ... but a truly over the top video game icon like Dooms BFG doesnt make the list.. 😂
Falcon Doesn't let YOU down.
Cerebral bore was my go-to back in the day! I miss that one, thanks for the reminder!
i was hoping that pandoras box from DMC would also be there. it was awesome
Perfect way to do a sat morning thanks
No way this list DID NOT include the BFG from Doom!
The Landshark Gun sould be at least a bonus honorable mention. That thing is hilarious.
Feel like you need to show off the Chainsword/Thunder Maul from Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine with your #1 pick. Those melee weapons are insane in comparison.
I feel like that kinda m i d, need something with abit of pazz. Like a d6 cannon.
Can't believe Half-life 2's Gravity Gun isn't at number 1?!
No mention of Bulletstorm? Like every weapon is absolutely absurd
I agree.. But hey they mentioned a normal shotgun... 😂
I personally found the game to be so boring but the robot dinosaur and Remote Control Sniper is cool.
Im glad someone else thought of Bulletstorm
I was gonna say hammer of dawn
I remember playing fallout and I had downloaded mods that let me turn the nuke launched to a fully auto mirv. I'm gonna repeat that again. A. FULLY. AUTO. MIRV. I kid you not, the first time I tried to fire it, my screen went white and stayed white for about 20 minutes. When the color started coming back, the game force closed. Same thing happened every single time I tried to use that gun no matter how I tried to tweak my settings. It was great.
