You are a precious lady and I love to hear you share what's on your heart! I met you years ago in Lubbock, Texas and won a large tote bag and had you sign it. I still have the bag and your signature is still in good condition on the bag. God bless you!!
Hello Donna, for years I had watched you and the way you teach on how to paint roses with the one stoke. I have gotten away from.it because I didn't fee I was good even though I loved it. As I viewed this tutorial, it brought me back to see the beauty in this art. Thank you for sharing and bringing me back to this love of painting Roses. God bless you and be gracious to you and family . Be at peace
I know this is late, but Congratulations on your 29th Grandbaby💗 Thank you for showing how to create the center of the cabbage rose with brush strokes.
Hi I was on the road but I wanted to tell plaid the community and Donna I love you,. I went from homeschooling to Dewberry to so much learning, applying and growing I’m so inspired
Donna, I appreciate you sharing your faith with viewers. I started painting this winter and I agree with you that it's relaxing. I have enjoyed watching your videos and have learned a lot! Thank you. God bless you as you continue to share and be a good witness to our Lord!
I love your paintings and the way u teach how to paint... I'm a beginner... and it's really wonderful... your paintings are beautiful as you are.. and congrats on the birth of ur grandchild....
Thank you so much for sharing this Donna. During lockdown I have been practising my painting and this helps so much. I have had so many people out on their one hour's allowed exercise go past my house and tell me how they love my garden. There are no flowers in it ( because of lockdown) and really only my painted pots. I have learned so much from you and you are such a warm a calming lady. God bless you and your family. We will come through this. So much love xxxx
I watched your one stroke cabbage flower video so many times that I have lost count to me one stroke painting is quiet difficult but I am still struggling to get up to the mark I have pretty much improved my one stroke painting by watching your videos but still I am messing up the centre of that cabbage flower but your this video has helped me a lot to understand the trick .Thankyou Donna
Donna, I don't like when people go on and on about boring or mundane things. But when you talk about our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, you could talk all day. That is your ministry. God gave you the talent to paint and teach this very simple technique and the finished product looks so difficult. He gave you a glorious gift and I'm so glad you take every opportunity to share His gospel. Also He rewards you with a great income. I believe the saying is," if you do what you love , you will never work a day in your life. Keep it up, Sister. Right now is the most important time for truth. It's nowhere to be found, outside of God's own.
Donna, I’m so glad I found your channel on RUclips. I have learned so much from you already and have only been watching for a few days. I really like how you break it down in simple steps. It makes it easy for someone who is new to learn how to paint accurately. Thank you!!
Thank you so much, I have trouble with the inside of the rose!! Could you show some more things to do with angle brushes I sure do love those angle brushes.
You do a great job, Donna! Very helpful!! I know you review the paint colors and brushes in the beginning of your videos, but it would help to put a list of them in your written video description. Thanks!
I'm that one who does a scoop lol. I try to lean it but my hand wants to scoop because I can do all of the petals except I'm still having trouble in the middle.
Dear Donna I love all ur videos. The rose is my favourite too.I m trying hard to get this stroke, I'm able to make the shell shape Burt I do not get a smooth outer edge like yours. It looks uneven my scrubbing is not in same curve it. Looks rough
Please watch my most popular video on my RUclips Channel - the Cabbage Rose. This should help you with your shell strokes. Also, check out other teaching guides, packets and videos about roses on my website - www.onestroke.com.
Hi Donna! Love your work! I have been practicing from your video tutorials and noticed we are around the same area of FL. Would you be up for having a local in-person class sometime? Would love to hear back =]
I'd love to have you join one of my in-person classes. Please contact my studio to make a reservation, it is required, no walk-ins please. Phone # is on www.onestroke.com.
God bless you and good for you that you are not ashamed to talk about God and faith...when u have a chance listen to the song " I am not ashamed"..love your painting skills..im trying but still havent been able to get it right yet..i find it easier for me to make two lines of paint to double load..i get mixed up and keep turning my brush..ill get it some day.keep talking, teaching and proclaiming the good news of Jesus and salvation..
Ma'am am I losing my mind did you used to have a TV show? I remember watching PBS or something after school and learning to do this but I forgot most of it except how to load the paintbrush. I'm sitting here trying to find how to paint a rose, sure that I learned something about it at some point when I was a kid, and I am having the weirdest déjà vu right now because I am 99% certain this is exactly what I remember watching. (Either way thank you so much I was going mad because I couldn't remember what happened after the first few petals!)
Please Donna, just set aside the comments about talking, and just continue to be you. My dear, that is how you developed One Stroke in the first place.
What is this Magic you do?? This is sooo hard to GET right.. You make it look so easy, and my usual idea is always " I am no good, I will never learn this what is it I am doing wrong all the time etc etc.." . My brain knows what to do, but the signals to my hand kinda get scrambled… And it does not look right. But thank you so much for taking the time to teach this. I am a stubborn b**, and I refuse to give up. I Guess I just need to practice. But I am wondering, the Paint you use, is it ok to use a different Craft acrylic Paint? Or is the Folk art Paint the only one that "Works"? I use a retarding medium to slow the drying, and it seems to help some, but sometimes the Paint suddenly gets transparent, and my second layer will show the first layer underneath it. But one good thing: I succeeded With a grean/white leaf! I was sooo happy and proud. (Sounds kinda stupid, but every thing I feel I "master", is another reason for me to get up in the mornings! And Battle With the anxiety monster that lives inside of me, gnawing away at the fabric of my life. I really, really want to learn this technique! I just think it is just so pretty! It is a long time since I was this passionate about anything! I am thanking God for Your will to share! And I am thanking you for doing it. Lots of hugs and wishes of wellbeing for you and Your loved ones. God bless u. superfan from Norway :)

Hey Donna, I noticed something rather interesting when you’re using an angle brush. You always paint your leaves upside down! May I ask why?
Farah Clay you can pull a nice point on the leaf. I can do it any direction but beginners have an easier time
Where do I go to get these supplies here for this painting
When the supply list is showing, there's a link to my website in the upper right corner, also at the end of the video. www.onestroke.com
Wow, awesome. I subscribe you
