The Sip and Savor pass comes with six tabs that can be redeemed for food and nonalcoholic beverages at booths and select locations around the park. You can also choose to just buy the food items à la carte. I would say the Sip and Savor pass is a better value. The price for one is $42 for Magic Key holders and $45 for guests. Thank you guys for watching!
The pass is definitely a better value if you use it properly. First, be sure there are six items you want to try. Then make sure the items cost more than the price point per tab ($7.00 for Key Holders or $7.50 for guests). None of the drinks you can buy with the tabs are above that point so you shouldn’t use the tabs for the drinks. The drinks are how Disney recoups the savings on the food items.
I like that CA Adventure celebrates the racial diversity in this state with Chinese New Year and Day of the Dead etc. I’m Japanese, German, Russian and Chinese and whenever I go to CA Adventure I always feel like those ethnicities are celebrated
My favorite thing about these passes, is when I have any left over tickets & I am leaving the park, I pick a really enthusiastic couple on their way in to the park to pixie dust / gift my extras to. Sometimes my mom and I can’t manage to finish all of our tickets before we head home, it’s always nice to make someone’s evening ❤️ isn’t that what Disney is about after all ? Thanks for another great video🎉
Love that you mentioned the year of the cat as well 💗 Love you guys and love your food videos!!! Thank you for sharing your magical adventures with us!
Yup, and if they live down there in the greater LA area they should really have no problem find Chinese bakeries. Every week my wife goes to the farmers market she gets 85°C buns because there's a location across the street.
I love Magic Journeys and always get so excited when I see a new video! I’m a new CM Parade Performer and hope to see you guys when Magic Happens returns!
Congrats on being a parade CM!!! Are auditions really hard? How much dance or parade experience do you need to get hired? So cool that you're in a Disney parade!
I've been following you guys for years now and I just want to let yall know that I appreciate all the time you put into making these videos. From the detailed timestamps, the fun 80's vibe? background music, to the fonts you use in your videos!
New subscriber here! I’ve been binge watching your videos for the past few days and I’m so happy I came across your channel! Loving the content! Can’t wait to go to DCA during Lunar New Year! Hopefully next year 🙏🏼 For the egg tarts, definitely recommend going to 85 Bakery or even Paderia Bakehouse!!! Both have multiple locations (=
It was so awesome meeting you guys that day! (I was the one wearing the marvel spirit jersey) and I can’t wait to run into you guys again ❤ thank you for your amazing videos and being so kind to us ❤️
I was waiting for your Lunar New Year video! Pizza Bao buns? Yes please lol. I have never been to Disneyland during the Lunar New Year celebration, thanks for the peek into what it's like! As always you bring the Disney Magic.
We saw you guys last night! You guys we’re so nice. And taller than what I expected in person. We wanted to take pictures with you but got intimidated since everyone was trying to say hi to you all at once.
Red is lucky! You give red envelopes on Chinese New Year! (usually with money). Longevity Noodles, they should be two feet long, the longer the noodle, the longer you live!
10/10 on the food content! I was expecting one of your usual “show some food here and there and merch on the side” videos but actually not at all this is the kind of video I’m wanting to watch when I plan my next trip!
What did this Vlog remind me of? Spending the whole day (and night) trying food at the parks is a whole vibe. Thanks for sharing so many of the things we can try. My list is ready 😊
Man we just love watching your guys videos! You guys are just awesome! You guys make everything at Disneyland look amazing! We have to say out of all the RUclipsrs out there you guys really are pretty much the best! And I don’t say that lightly we love all the RUclipsrs out there that share their videos but there’s just something about yours, you both really do take the time and effort to make good quality videos that are worth watching! They’re fun and exciting and just make you want to get to Disneyland as soon as possible! So thank you and keep up the good work! It would be nice to meet you guys someday!😊
I've only been to Lunar New Year at DCA once but I would love to go again. I didn't get to try a lot of food. I only tried the Mickey Hot Dog Bun and it was really good. I would love to go the celebration again but sadly I can't because I already have a trip planned for March for the Disney100 celebration. I totally forgot that DCA is going to be transformed into San Fransokyo pretty soon and I can't wait. It's going to be awesome!! 😊🤩💕
Oh my gosh. I am so happy and grateful to you guys for sharing your experience and opinions on the foods at DCA Lunar New Year celebration. I an going in early February, and the sip and savor card will be great for me, since the serving sizes are smaller, from what I heard. There are so many I want to try. Some of them might be sold out, but I will enjoy my time there, and there are plenty of food options! 😄
I grew up eating coffee beans at my moms work (Peet’s Coffee & Tea) after school. It’s definitely an acquired taste and much better coated in dark chocolate. Great Vlog, you guys are so much fun!
Hello Magic Journey, This is a Great Footage, My Sister in Law is Asian and so I look forward to Celebrating her culture. Thank you, Janelle Your as cute as a Button, Love your Mickey Ears.
Thanks for another awesome video! So great to see the celebration of the Lunar New Year!!! If you want more egg tarts, try a bakery in Chinatown near you. The egg tart you guys ate seems more like a Portuguese egg tart with a creme brûlée top and Chinatown would also sell that. ❤
I really wish I had a magic portal to Disneyland! I'm so mad I won't be there for this festival- everything looks so yummy! Too bad about that cake- it looks good, but I probably wouldn't like it either if it's not very sweet.
Egg tarts are the same ingredients pretty much as creme brulle. 85 Degrees has excellent ones. It's a Taiwanese bakery , they are in Multiple states. Worth a try.
I got to meet Mushu and Mulan a few years back for the lunar new year and I cried cause mulan has always been my favorite Disney movie….and mushu is my all time favorite Disney character.
Yay! Thank you for this. I can’t eat the foods bcs of diabetes but I love this video. Just got news my grandma is in the hospital so this made my day ❤ happy new year! I’m the year of the rabbit 🎉
I love that you guys tried the dan tat (egg tart). We had the matcha and yuzu ones and they were amazing (the yuzu was the best one). The egg roll was also our favorite at lunar new year. And we loved running into you at Super Nintendo World this week (we were the ones who drove down from San Francisco). Def was one of the highlights of our trip!
I thoroughly enjoyed this! Your tasting videos are my favorite and I love how you describe what you try! You guys create such amazing content that make me feel like I was there too! MigVee I could also eat my weight in steamed white rice! Ha!! Keep it up! 🍚🥰
I have a theory! I think Disney went all out with the foods this year so that they could crowd source and figure out what to keep around when they change the wharf to San Fransokyo! Maybe they’re considering getting rid of the quesabirria tacos and replacing them with egg rolls?
I'm just getting caught up on all the videos I missed while on vacation. I'm curious to know if Janelle's mom liked the bitter bundt cake? I'll be in the parks in 10 days and plan to try many of the Lunar Festival treats! Thank-you for all your videos. I love them all. I hope I can meet you some day in the parks. ♥
Many Chinese bakeries sell the original egg tarts at a fraction of the cost (like at least half the price at DCA). The ones that are caramelized on top are called Macau/Portuguese style egg tarts. There are non-caramelized ones, too, that are delicious. Somebody mentioned the 85 Degrees bakery chain, but you can also go to the bakery section of a 99 Ranch Market if you want to buy a lot of them. I love your videos because of the genuine enthusiasm or moderated enthusiasm in your reactions. 😂 Happy New Year!
That 4 Town song at the end made me LOL 😄 Back to the food: when I got the bok choy mushroom dumplings, I *drowned* my dumplings with that yummy sauce 🤤🤤 Def going back for 2nds!
Thank you both for taking time away from filming to talk to a fan on Friday!! After your recommendation, I tried the Wonton and ended up wonton more! Get it??!! Keep up the great content!!
I'm here working in the parks this week from Disney World and I think I saw you all filming! Since I'm an engineer at Disney people are always asking for Disney content but I haven't gotten to it yet. I decided to start with the Sip and Savor pass and while doing research, lo and behold you all popped up first! Just wanted to say yall make awesome videos!
Wish there was Disneyland where I'm at. You could buy the egg tarts at any Chinese bakery??? Or dim sum places but don't know if you could buy it in packs lol

Y'all are working overtime to crunch these videos out!!!! Also Janelle's fluffy pastel green ears are so cute!!!!
You’re so sweet thank you! It’s one of my favorite pair.✨

Love you guys and love your food videos!!! Thank you for sharing your magical adventures with us!
It's the year of the rabbit not cat. There's no cat in the chinese zodiac closest is tiger aka big cat
Most Chinese bakeries carry egg tarts! A more known bakery called 85 degrees sometimes has egg tarts and there’s a lot of locations :)
Yup, and if they live down there in the greater LA area they should really have no problem find Chinese bakeries. Every week my wife goes to the farmers market she gets 85°C buns because there's a location across the street.
