    Nice bake. I wish you would have described the flavor. I just started cooking with sourdough. I find that the starter can make the pizza crust overly acudic with vinegar notes. That doesn't work with pizza. Im working on converting my starter to a liquid starter to mellow that out.

    • @NewYoungPizzaGuy
      @NewYoungPizzaGuy  7 месяцев назад

      It’s nice and mellow. Not acidic at all. Are you feeding your starter in a new jar every time, or adding to the same jar?

    • @rbiv5
      @rbiv5 7 месяцев назад

      @@NewYoungPizzaGuy for my base starter, I remove about 50 grams and then add 25 grams of water and 25 grams of flour. I was told to feed that more often to mellow it out. So far it worked a little. I just started a liquid starter which is at a 1 to 5 starter to water ratio...that should work..waiting a few days for that.

      I'm adding to the same jar

      Give 30g starter, 100g flour, and 100g room temp water in a new jar a shot. After 10-12 hrs , bake with that and let me know if you still get an overly sour taste. The sour flavor might be coming from the exhausted starter that’s being left in your jar. Let me know how it works out. 🍕
