Hey, my husband died last month and he always had a crush on Debra Harris and this year 2013, would turn 38 year old and we both loved her music and we have always believed that the music of the 60s and 70s was the BEST. Mary
Sing your lungs out for two hours 220 days a year every night in a different city different country different continent for 40 years whether you feel like doing it or not that night, and see how your vocal cords fare. I think what she does after so many decades is still amazing. Call me anytime, baby...
@@mahcem I never said she wasn't good. And, yes. I understand the tribulations of vocal performances. I also understand that time effects everyone. I, as an aging singer, felt comforted that even a superstar like Debbie Harry has had to bow to the passage of time. It can't be avoided. It's not a critique on her performance or quality of her singing. It was literally an inspiration that I wasn't the only singer whose voice has changed as growing older. I love Debbie Harry!!! ❤️ I'm sorry if you misunderstood.
holy shit this is fucken amazing. The orchestra mixed with her vocals are badass. I love this version more than the studio recording, her more mature voice goes so well with the orchestra and gives it an awesome tone
This is a terrific marriage of Blondie's, Deborah Harry with an orchestra! I can feel the excitement of all their efforts playing together. It must be wonderful to play along with one of your favorite singers. A true masterpiece!!! The audience is obviuously very into the show as well.
THIS IS THE BEST VERSION that i have heard of her recently. she HAS NOT LOST A THING AT ALL. STILL ALL THERE JUST OLDER AND WISER BUT STILL ALL THERE. XXXXX
I just love Deborah Harry ..... this is a great performance! She's classy ..... and with the orchestra (who are really into it), takes "Call Me" to a whole new level!
In a way, this is absolutely bizarre. Yet, it has to be one of the best performances of that song, ever. LOL Wow. So strange that she's solo since that was the start of the Blondie reunion, too. Great to see this. She looked and sounded fantastic. And that audience looks like a ball. Even the orchestra (!) was really into it and sneaking glimpses at Debbie. She IS cool
The producers of an American Gigolo couldn't have picked a better band to handle that musical score of that classic film, than BLONDIE, still holds up today and forever!!! Rock on Deborah!!!
Thanks for sharing, I grew up with Blondie’s music, so I’m glad to see how she took her music to a sophisticated level with the orchestra. Rodger Hodgson of Supertramp took the same road to excelling the music. Monumental job, thanks!💯
WOW this was an AMAZING performance of hers! I always think of Bride of Chucky when I hear this song, lol. Call Me has been stuck in my head for a while and, as a pianist, I’m going to learn it on the piano 😁
Fantástico ver essas jovens senhoras e jovens senhores, botando pra quebrar e tocando essas músicas maravilhosas, que serão lembradas daqui duzentos anos...
She was aged 52 here, she'd just had a facelift and looks absolutely stunning. During this same period she was working on the Blondie reunion album...just a great period for this lady.
And, I still can't understand why she had that facelift, when seeing her 2 years earlier, there was NOTHING wrong w/ her looks. Thankfully, she hasn't done it since, supposedly. She had good (Scottish) genes, to begin with.
Like always Ms. Harry does it better than the other 99% of musicians and singers. I just did not know that she did the Proms. I mean how in the hell did I not know this?
Those childhood Icons man, always been there for our thoughts and ancient memories, I'm 42 & still shackin' when Benatar sings, Wow!! Divas are divas anywhere-anytime.
There are elements of Ms. Harry that are far sexier and more in charge of herself than ever in her at this age and now.. I'm quite impressed! Those Dutch teens are having a blast and it makes me happy to see it! Go Debbie!
when you say CALL ME that's BLONDIE..Debbie Harry...she own that song... just saying Debbie Harry is always great. Full orchestra makes her best sound ever. Love her since 1979

Con orquesta sinfónica, ese es el lujo que se da la tremenda banda Blondie y su bella y talentosa Debbie Harry.
An amazing woman who only gets better with each passing year!!!
It's reassuring that not only do amateur singers' voices drop as they age, but so do famous professionals.
She looks and sounds great!
she got better , good wine ages well

Not sure what "better" means in this situation.
