      You know what's worse?
The people who've organized this strike have destroyed any chance Post Canada had of getting profits over the holidays.
So imagine you're negotiating for a bigger piece of pie.
But to start the negotiation, you first destroy the pie.
What do they hope to gain when there are no profits?
If you look up the losses, since 2018 we're talking about 3 billion dollars.
Amazon decided that Post Canada was too inflexible with their delivery schedule and too expensive.
I don't cheer for this, because it means that Amazon is creating a monopoly and with that raising their prices.
So while they're competitive now, once there is no competition we're stuck with them lording over us.
And there will be fewer jobs. Which means less money in circulation.
      It's all downhill from here.
Canada needs a national postal service. But it looks like complete destruction is coming for that.

How about if you’re unhappy with your employer you find a new job, not collectively refuse to work your job

    Sargeeeeet! Clearly Canadian!!!!
Canada Post is at a loss of 8 Billion dollars since 2018.
You're going to have to let as many people go as possible.
It's the only way to compete, as Amazon and other companies have their own infrastructure now.
They realized that Canada Post was too expensive.
Now that profits for the holiday season have been completely lost, there's no pie to get a bigger piece of.
So this strike has destroyed any hope workers have of negotiating for anything they want.

Pissed off is the mindset that put you on a picket line. Being employed by a Crown corporation that provides a service the government uses to get legal documents into citizens hands, what the hell did you expect by refusing that service ? Trying to hold citizens life process hostage for personal wage increase is selfish and will not get the support you desire from any opposition.

“Stay out of it. Don’t interfere. Don’t legislate these workers back to work. Don’t put in place 107 (binding arbitration). Let the workers negotiate a fair contract,” Singh told a scrum with media at the Delta Hotel, before heading to a rally at the nearby Canada Post building on Water Street.
“I want to also put this on record for Justin Trudeau: If you bring back-to-work legislation, even if it’s a confidence vote, I will be voting against it, my team will be voting against it, because we oppose back-to-work legislation, we’re always going to defend workers.”
