Colby used to spam strikes and takedowns and stay ultra active, making his opponents look overwhelmed. It was an annoying and frustrating style. It worked well. He needs to do that and stop trying to be some square stanced striker. Because then he gets hesitant. Being active is also a good idea. Win or lose, fight and stay active.
Young fighters need to look up to Covington. He doesn’t drink he doesn’t smoke. He doesn’t start street fights. He doesn’t cut 30+ pounds to be a weight bully. They’ll discredit that about you but fighting in the pocket and pressuring a guy like buckley with all that Ko power takes serious bravery and skill to do. He was getting tired faster than usual because your pressure is so constant and you were making him miss hard and hit nothing but air with your distance management.
