There are some beautiful pebbles at a beach we visit but I don’t like to just take them. If everyone did, eventually there would be none left for everyone else to enjoy. So I borrow them, paint them and then return them for others to find and hopefully get pleasure from. Thanks so much for your wonderful inspiration Rachel!

Gorgeous! I look for rocks on Lake Michigan but have never found such a nice round one
I have used happy dotting molds for stones and a template. I have trouble finding stones/rocks so it works great for me. I also clicked link for the pink chair- as I shopped it stayed I am shopping with Rachel Mitchell-so no problem ordering with them- I just haven’t yet decided what I want- soooo many things to choose from

I use the molds from Happy Dotting comp. I just love them, I can’t find rocks that are smooth or the size I want. There so easy to use and you have the perfect rock 😍
There on the Great Lakes, people find agates and if I recall correctly, there is even fire agates. I’m terribly addicted to rocks especially The Rock (not the actor).
Carol Gibbons I don’t have any fire agates but there is a place in Nevada that you can also find them from ‘the findings’ or heaps that have already been mined. I only have an Ethiopian opal but Love the Mexican fire opal. The fire agates are hard and you don’t have to worry about how fragile they are. They’re great even for a man’s ring. I am in Alaska but there are beautiful gems all over the US. We are truly blessed!
Carol Gibbons, love talking with you! There are emeralds in North Carolina, topaz,aquamarine, and amethyst in Colorado, painted agate in ‘the corner of Tennessee,Alabama, and Georgia. In fact that is the only place it has ever been found. Alaska has, it has light agates. As the sun sets they look like little lit light bulbs scattered on the beach. There is Carnelian, jasper, tourmaline - all kinds, opal, green turquoise, coral, rubies, garnets, diamonds, black diamonds, jade, jadeite, serpentine, malachite, lapis...and more. Rose quartz and gems that are quartz based, lot’s of minerals. LOL!! When I was a kid I wanted to be an archeologist but a “rockologist” haha would float my boat ...well...er maybe sink it, as it would always be just one more. 😁. 😬There is a place here that has petrified wood, amber and plant fossils and a relatively short drive to another mountain, there are animal fossils. I would love to visit your area sometime. I have driven through Canada several times, but I have never been further east than Edmonton and Calgary. I have been in most of the states, too, except the New England ones. It would be fun to visit when all this other gets straightened out.
