The journey began in Haridwar. Yesterday (7th May) I checked into Patnimal Guest House, conveniently located near Har Ki Pauri. I took an invigorating dip (on 8th May) in the sacred River Ganga at the private ghat within hotel at Har Ki Pauri. The cool, refreshing waters were an instant rejuvenation, a cleansing ritual that set a spiritual tone for the trip. After the bath, I got ready and checked out of Patnimal Guest House. The room was modest yet comfortable, offering a traditional charm with all the basic amenities. Its proximity to the Ganga added to the serene ambiance, making it a pleasant stay.
The road trip from Haridwar to Rishikesh was a scenic delight, with lush green landscapes and the Ganga flowing alongside for most of the journey. Upon reaching Rishikesh, I first explored Swanand Ghat and Shatrughan Ghat, both tranquil spots perfect for some quiet reflection by the river. The next stop was Ram Jhula, an iconic suspension bridge offering panoramic views of the Ganga. The highlight here was the White Sand Ganga Beach, where the pristine sands and calm waters provided a perfect spot to relax.
For brunch, I headed to the famous Chotiwala Restaurant, a Rishikesh institution known for its authentic North Indian cuisine. The meal was hearty and satisfying, providing the energy needed for the day's adventures. Later, I enjoyed a serene boating experience on the River Ganga, which offered a unique perspective of Rishikesh’s beauty from the water.
The journey continued from Rishikesh to Dehradun, a route lined with picturesque hills and valleys. On arrival in Dehradun, I checked into Hotel Le ROI. The hotel offered a modern, luxurious & comfortable room with contemporary decor and all the necessary amenities. The service was prompt, and the room provided a peaceful retreat after a day of travel.
This road trip, spanning from the spiritual vibes of Haridwar, through the adventurous and scenic Rishikesh, to the tranquil environment of Dehradun, was a perfect blend of relaxation, exploration, and spiritual rejuvenation.
Owner of Hotel Patnimal at Har Ki Pauri helped me booking cab for my road trip. Cab owner cum driver is Mr. Rawat and his mob. no. 9837135533. I paid total Rs.3,000/- for this road trip.
