4 Tlingit Intellectual History: The Legacies of Nora Dauenhauer, Ḵeixwnéi; Louis Shotridge, Stuwuḵaa; and Andy Hope, X̱aastánch
Louis Shotridge, Stuwukhaa, was an innovative and astute writer of Tlingit intellectual history. Contemporary Tlingit writers Nora Dauenhauer, Kheixwnéi, and Andy Hope, Xhaastánch were both deeply inspired by Shotridge’s example. This paper will explore the interconnections and achievements of these three fine writers.
