Ass a bass player been loving theses guys , I was watching Beavis and Butthead yesterday. When the video first started I thought it was a fish bone song I didn’t know then I thought it was Living Colour, what a Gem to find , new songs to learn can’t wait
For years I couldn't remember the name of this song, I saw it on Beavis and Butthead too. On recorded VHS lol. Then wikipedia happened, and I was finally able to find this song.
These aforementioned bands are following a long list of black artists that have been far longer than the existance of the music industry in the United States. You also mentioned Naked Truth, Mother Finest, the pioneers of funk metal as well as Bad Brains who are the poineers of hardcore and Death, the michigan all black band who accidentally invented the genre now known as Punl Roak in the early 1970s
Never got to see these guys live on stage. Bought the Vinyl Bought the CD'S. If they ever do come tour the UK again this late in the day. well all i can say is gonna be there. Excellent!
I've always loved how this band can be super heavy but still swing. Listen to the double bass pattern the drummer is playing. You can't swing any harder than that !
Rick has so much old school bass in his playing. I hear Stax, the Isley's, Jamerson, just everything I love about rhythm & funk bass.
True indeed!
One of the most underrated rock bassists of all time.

His tone is pure midrange-bliss.. Would love to have that Robin bass
You are totally right😇 🤟
Beavis and Butthead brought me here.
I initially thought it was Living Colour, they really remind me of them.
Same to both points.

Despite the obvious similarities, I perceive the Spyz to be more effervescent than LC, though.
Beavis and Butt-Head brought me to this song as well
Anyone new to this music and 24-7 Spyz... also check out Fishbone, Sinister Dane, Egypt, Living Colour
