Thank you for your amazing job and for sharing it, I'm traying with my CNC 318 Pro with a GRBL controller 1.1 where we have two A5 pins one with +5 VDC the other I think should be "0" I was able to work g38.2 with a single NO probe made with a small piece of PCB direct connected to A5s pins(without Inverter) my question is if it is ok to make a short circuit with the probe for A5s pins, can I damage the control board using that connection? I have bought in eBay a digitizer probe inspired by your job as I'm an aviation parts inspector and in someway want to use your experience to use my CNC like a partial CMM, I'll appreciate any subjection from your side, Can we add to the software any readout like a dialog box showing the XYZ measurement results with bigger font size as a digital measurement instrument it is just for better visualization. Thank you so much, I'm following all your videos with great interest.
Sorry for the late reply. I also just used a normal button See ruclips.net/video/gtfTbD0Dyks/видео.html at 0:38 If you explain to me how the measurement should be done, maybe I can show you a big display on the screen
I haven't tested measuring practically for a long time. Will check it again at the weekend. Will let you know here again. From translator: Je n'ai pas testé la mesure de manière pratique depuis longtemps. Je le vérifierai à nouveau ce week-end. Je vous en informerai à nouveau ici.
Just saw your video about 5 axis with atmega 2560 and RAMPS board... Nice job! Since 2014 I'm trying to use Marlin fw like a 4 axis milling machine... And here you are!
I have revised the functions once again. See: ruclips.net/video/ps4xE8IXyhw/видео.html and ruclips.net/video/oIScLqz0np8/видео.html You can access the old functions with SHIFT and Toolbar button 'Probe'.
@@grblgru my goal is to probe/scan a surface and then project gcode onto that surface as shown. Secondary would be to create an stl of that surface. I have got as far as scanning the surface and saving the day file. But when I load gcode (lightburn created) it still projects as flat. Also pressing the save as stl seems to do nothing. Is there any documentation of this feature that I’m missing. Thank you again
Sorry for my very late reply, but I have a lot to do at the moment. You are right. I have just seen that the projection does not work. I hope to get around to fixing it this weekend, and I'll get back to you. Thanks for your feedback

I have a diy cnc mill.. Would this be a solution for programming toolpaths beyond 3 axis?
Yes, not everything is working yet, but I'm working on it. :)

Hello!
Are your program supporting the Marlin f/w?
I'm using the 1.1.9 v. and I'd like to find edges and centers like on you video.
Just saw your video about 5 axis with atmega 2560 and RAMPS board...
Nice job!
Since 2014 I'm trying to use Marlin fw like a 4 axis milling machine... And here you are!
Thanks for the software
I can not find this probe menu in version 4.6. Is there a new method ?
I have revised the functions once again. See:

@@grblgru Thank you! Any videos on turning the probe points into an stl or surface?

thanks for the program
Hey! Which probe was used in this video?
This is a RENISHAW probe. I have removed it from an old broken tool machine. You can certainly also buy it, but it is certainly very expensive.
whether digitizing for rotary can be done
I was thinking of just that. Maybe depending on 'why' you are measuring just cheat and swap an axis?
Is just a awesome !
bonjour, vous avez pu voir ????? merci
Do you have an email address for me where I can contact you ?
where to buy a touch sensor?
This button is very expensive, but you can build one yourself. e.g.
