- Hello and welcome to Train Simulator Classic!
We're taking a look at the "Heart of Berlin" route today which is the S25 route through Berlin. This is an S-Bahn route which runs from Henningsdorf in the North of Berlin, through the main North/South S-Bahn corridor to Teltow Stadt in the South.
We're driving the BR 481 which is the main S-Bahn stock currently found in Berlin. I'm making no secret of the fact I do not care for these stocks in real life, but the train is very carefully reproduced along with a lot of the safety systems, so I really do enjoy driving this through a city I love so much!
I do realise not all of my history "facts" will be 100% spot on, but I hope you enjoy flying through Suburban and Underground Berlin!

Unter den Linden has been renamed to Brandenburger Tor when they reworked the station for the U5. The font is not specifically connected to the Nazis it just happened to be a modern font at that time. Bo9rnholmer Straße is actually historically very interesting and also the Tunnel section to Friedrichsstraße with its former "Geisterbahnhöfe" (ghost-stations) can be mentioned here. The track actually was right on the border (between 2 walls!) and then partially went underneath West-Berlin and of course didn't stop there, hence the ghost-stations. All of the S-Bahn, even in West-Berlin was owned by the East! I highly recommend you to read up on the S-Bahn history. Also when I emigrated from East Germany to West Germany I took the S-Bahn from Friedrichstraße-Border-Station to the West. There is a lot of history to find here.
Oh I find the whole history of the S-Bahn absolutely fascinating! We love having a nosey round all the stations as there’s usually some hidden gems to find 😄

The first coach is the 481 because it has a cab and the other ones are 482 because the don’t have a cab
Is this add-on difficult to install? I am thinking about getting it, but it is a little pricey and I want to make sure I'm not wasting my time.
My understanding is that it is not purchased through Steam, but from a separate website.
That pro version of the S-Bahn Class 481 costs only Euros, but how did you buy that product when you are a non-German customer? It's not easy for me.
I always wonder how many cups of bri'ish tea an individual has to consume every day to make Berlin their favorite place on earth. Admit it, you always got carried out of the plane by emergency services due to bri'ish tea intoxication and all you think you know about the city was always fever dreams while you were laying in the emergency room, am I right?
